Neat picture.
@Theorist King: Sounds like an interesting theory. But dreamselves could die, couldn't they? And after they died you'd be stuck dreaming in the dreambubbles. So Gamzee wouldn't be able to jump around unless there's a way out of them we are not aware of (or I'm forgetting something, which is the usual reason I don't theorize Homestuck).
Also, if your dreamself dreams it doesn't dream in the bubbles; your waking self wakes up.
Mostly does better things now. Key word mostly. Writes things, but you'll never find them. Or you can ask.@Raichu-Not if they are both asleep.
Anyway, as for the ability of Gamzee's dreamself to die, I'm proceeding either on the assumption that it is as durable as his realself (which, if this is true...actually hasn't been established at all) or he is exploiting the dreamself properties that made Vriska retain her eye and arm and made Terezi's dreamself blind, to continually regenerate his dreamself's injuries.
Why didn't anyone else make their dreamselves immortal? Who else would think they could?
From Theorist Island Far Away, Lu Lu La La LuCaliborn, probably. But I was under the assumption that sleeping as your dreamself woke up your real self, so you couldn't have both sleeping at once?
Mostly does better things now. Key word mostly. Writes things, but you'll never find them. Or you can ask. We've seen people who weren't awake as their dreamself yet, have both sleeping at once. So it's not impossible.
It also is the case that we have seen simultaneous wakefulness, if not simultaneous awareness.
It seems to me, the only thing Gamzee really would need to do for this to work is make his waking self not able to wake up.
It was supposed to be implicit in my theory that his waking self is in a continuous state of sleep for some reason.
From Theorist Island Far Away, Lu Lu La La LuI don't know why I find Homestuck theories so hard to follow. The only way I can picture hiis real-self continually sleeping/his sleeping-self continually awake is having his not-dreamself killed.
Wouldn't that be too much for Caliborn to figure out?
It's crazy enough for Caliborn's bashit-crazy logic to get there.
Right, except for the part where Caliborn's waking self should defnitely be dead. And also, Caliborn's ideas are stupidclever, but they serve clear goals.
This is more Gamzee, because it doesn't?
From Theorist Island Far Away, Lu Lu La La LuNo, I just meant that Caliborn thinks he's invincible in any case.

EDIT: Spelling Corrected.

Yay more Rose
Forever liveblogging the AvengersAt first I thought that Casey was a Charmander...and s/he talks!
Heh, "enscorcellments"...
And "canon", Psyche. One n. It can fit into a cannon by printing off the page and stuffing it into the barrel. ;p

My immediate reaction was "SINCE WHEN CAN CASEY TALK?"
From Theorist Island Far Away, Lu Lu La La LuSHT Up, ME NO FAIL ENGLISH!
That battle dog thing is pretty amazing, yep yep yep
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWho even knows.
Also, regarding the last page: I'm still wondering where the codpiece Meulin found really came from. I mean, who would leave bits of a God Tier Bard of Rage costume lying around? I'm 75% sure we'll find out (if Hussie's not screwing with us all), but it's probably worth noting that we never see a ghost version of Gamzee's dream-self...

I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Well, I had thought when he stole the pillow that it was to use the fabric to make the outfit. I mean, they aren't the same purple but...Alchemy? I don't know.
In retrospect, obviously it was always meant to carry a ring. I wonder if it will ever do so again.
Hey, remember Problem Sleuth's epilogue? (Let's see if I can do links yet):

Maybe we'll see that pillow used again yet!
From Theorist Island Far Away, Lu Lu La La LuI guess this means that the consorts understand when spoken to, seeing as she can dream of perfectly normal conversation.
More Rose. Yes. That is always a good thing.
@Ninety: Hey Ninety. We haven't talked that much recently. I should probably change that. I got a Skype now, if it helps.
Possibly, but I find the ambiguity as to whether or not Gamzee actually achieved God Tier kind of interesting. I mean, it's canon that Gamzee does not die in a single doomed timeline (insofar as in-story!Hussie knows), but if he never merged with his dream-self then the ghost of that other Gamzee should be around somewhere in the dream-bubbles.
It's just very weird, is what I'm saying. We only see one Gamzee at any given time when we literally see dozens of versions of everyone else, and while that can be half-explained it can't be fully explained. I think it's a set-up, but I'm not sure what for.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Since when did dreamselves ever get ghosts? You only show up in the bubbles if both selves are dead; if you see a ghost in dream pajamas it's because they got corpsesmooched in their timeline, or are just imagining on that outfit for some reason.

Ms. Paint is so adorable.
