Not sure anyone cares, but the first chapter of my Homestuck fanfic is up. It's called 8lood Tr8or and it took me ages to finish it. Here. (I honored you guys's request to name Vriska's pet tarantula "Marquise.")
Also, I was last here a bunch of pages ago when you guys were talking about whether you were still excited for Hiveswap and Homestuck 2.0, whatever that is. Just wanna chime in to say I'm pumped for both. Homestuck is still my favorite fandom, and it stings a little that so many fans are turning cold towards it. It's lonely...
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Ish cute.
If it helps, I think a lot of people who have cooled off on the comic, or aren't looking forward to Hiveswap or Homestuck 2.0 are still in this fandom, really.
No matter how much one hates the ending, and has lost hope for the quality of future endeavors, they can still appreciate the characters of the comic, the music, the art style, not to mention tons of fan-done stuff.
I'm a vocal critic, and here I am contemplating trying my hand at a bloodswap fic, and I still pretty much live on MSPARP.
Oh, speaking of which, some friends of mine from there who have run a fair few chats wanted me to read Worm, and I started because I was bored. I didn't think I would like it, but I actually do. So far, at least, but I understand there's a ton of it.
It's pretty freaking dark, though.
Addendum: Ish very cute.

Mostly does better things now. Key word mostly. Writes things, but you'll never find them. Or you can ask.@Dr Psyche: Cute :3
@Raichu: I have heard and read about Worm, but I haven't read it yet. It sounds cool and dark.
@Shirou: I don't like him. Which I guess I already said up here. Why did I spoiler it again?
I can't really look forward to 2.0 because we still don't really know what it even is.
@Psyche: the manga is really good, for what it's worth.
Reaction Image Repository@J-Teeth: Im sure it is, even if it takes forever to go anywhere.
Also, the kids have become the Armless Bipeds the comic always intended them to be in those pics.
I'm reasonably hyped for Hiveswap. I'm not expecting it to blow me away or anything but so long as it's playable and has the Homestuck style of humor, I'll consider it money well spent.
This song needs more love.More of those stained glass pantheon pictures came out apparently.
The Healing Goddess
The Believing God
and ehhhhh some other stuff
Roxy and Jane
A Nepeta
Godtiers of the Adventure Zone party
That Roxy and Jane were well-drawn
Very nice pictures. I like the tunic design to Jake's God-Tier outfit instead of the ugly ass speedo he got.
Was mildly disappointed to find that the bunny-cape John on the last page was not, in fact, Cucumber Quest crossover fanart. Still cute, though.
Also yay stained glass art.
Yeah, damn, he wouldn't look out of place in CQ wouldn't he? Neat.
Bocaj, you said that you didn't like Shirou - why is that?
Personally, he has points that I like and points that I dislike.

Oh God! Natural light!I hate that he's a generic shonen protagonist. Especially coming to UBW from Zero where someone like Shirou would have died very early in for his constant idiotic and reckless behavior. I understand but hate that everything is about him. I hate that Gilgamesh gets played up as a hero killer and unstoppable badass just so that Shirou's unique set of skills is the only counter. I hate Shirou's edgelord future self and his whole self-loathing plot. I hate the hero of justice stuff because its generic and vague. I hate the edgelord future self for being yet another Archer that barely uses archery. More like Ranger, amirite. I hate that the main female character has to hand over all of the power she earned through a lifetime of study to this stupid asshole and I hate that in the visual novel it has to be done through sex because of course it does. I hate that Shirou constantly getting into fights takes away from Saber who should have been protecting him but she gets kidnapped and bent over an altar so Shirou can have this whole thing about saving her, the heroic spirit who is really King Arthur. I hate Shirou's edgelord future self being a heroic spirit because I think it would be more interesting if it were Kiritsugu who we actually saw a lifetime of fighting from and also because every other time a heroic spirit wasn't just from the past but way from the past. I hate that Shirou is so stupid and lemminglike that Rin, who has prepared her whole life for the grail war, has to make a pact with him because otherwise he would have tripped and died. I also hate that Rin, who has prepared her whole life for the grail war, decided that she would do the summoning ritual without a catalyst. I also hate that the show starts off like she's the protagonist before switching to the drastically less interesting Shirou. Because this story comes from a VN, the world revolves around who he wants to stick his dick in and that's terrible.
There is very little about him that I find endearing or interesting. He takes time away from more interesting people throughout the whole thing.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersThat's fair. He's not especially interesting, all things considered. Kiritsugu was at least considerably more qualified and had more interesting stuff going on with him.
I still like him somewhat, though - he seems like a nice enough kid, although that's merely enough to be likable, and is admittedly kind of a baseline.
(It's telling that in official popularity polls, Saber and Rin rank considerably above him. Granted, Archer does too, but even if he's not to my taste, I can still see why people would like him more.)

Oh God! Natural light!Archer felt generic in a more different way. Although I suppose its the kind of genericness that people get jazzed over. People love their aloof, broody assholes.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThat's certainly true. Though I don't really like him all that much, honestly. As far as Archers go, while Gilgamesh is probably a bigger asshole, he's at least more fun to watch.

Oh God! Natural light! At least before he started dressing like a boy band member
Gotta question his shift in fashion preferences
Forever liveblogging the AvengersMan should just go nude.
Granted, that would probably just make his creepier moments worse, but it's not like he couldn't pull it off.

Oh God! Natural light! He's done it before. Its not like he's ashamed. He's shameless.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersExactly! Dude can rock the look.
Speaking of which, who's your favorite Servant?
Oh God! Natural light!Iskander, no question.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWell, obviously, but aside from him?
Oh God! Natural light!
