Anyway freezai on the rise of Zamzenta in VGC

Highlights:

• Last generation, Zamazenta was considered one of if not the worst legendary mons in VGC. Being hilariously overshadowed by his brother Zacien.

• Than everything changed this Gen. As Zacien got nerfed and has fallen. Zamazenta has risen.

• By just giving it body press (an attacking move which uses a mons defensive stat rather than it's atack stat) has turned it excellent.

• Now it can take advantage of its massive defensive stat to rock the competition. It's typing being perfect (steel/fighting) to take advantage of Iron defense. Giving it both stab on body press.

• Even better. Zamazenta w isn't effected by Intimitade Inceroar or parting shot. Since those effect attack stats. Not defense

I still wonder why Zamazenta was not given access to Body Press in Gen VIII despite both being introduced in that Generation. Like, was there a glitch, was BP a last minute addition, I just want to know what happened in the Moveset planning stage!

Well, creating like a hundred new Pokemon each Gen must be tough, some things that might seem obvious are bound to slip through the cracks.

Update on my violet nuzlocke: got all the badges and completed both Arven's and Penny's quest line and I am now facing off the elite 4 with Rika bested so I'm facing of against Poppy next after work, however I lost Kilowattrel and Talonflame to Eri and Kommo-o and Corviknight to Clavell thus making the graveyard 22 bodies full at this point.

They probably decided it would be too powerful on Zamazenta, then decided "to hell with it" next generation, especially with how overpowering Zacian wound up being in comparison.

Honestly, back then, I think I expected more new Water types. The idea kind of stuck in my head.

There were 13 new Water-types, how many were you expecting?

Felt like less as they were being revealed, or something was messing with me.

Was that because they revealed nearly every Pokémon, or at least a member of nearly every evolution line, that wasn’t legendary, mythical, or UB?

I feel like the lack of new steel types in gen 7 are a bigger issue then anything else.

But yeah, you are right. Aside from the spherical pikaclone, every other steel type is a "special" Pokemon in some way.

Update on the violet nuzlocke: I have beaten the game and now I'm on a grace period training arc in the original post game as I kown the indigo disk is gonna kick my ass and there is nothing I can do about it, I've also lost one pokemon per elite four member and champion after Rika however I used a champion clause as any pokemon that gained a champion ribbon dead is back alive. (I used this on my shield nuzlocke as well.) this makes the graveyard filed at 25 bodies.
