I remembered there was an area for roller skaters on Kalos Route 22.... which is just for show and it is inaccessible without cheating (I guess).

Are you trying to mess children's mind, game freak? Screw all these grim dark pokedex entries, they're nothing compared to that.

Pokemon x Mega Man Pretty much exactly what the legendaries of Sun/Moon reminded me of, especially the Necrozma forms.

Here's what I think would be a better and more elegant way of handling Zygarde.

Power Construct turns 10% into 50% with Aura Break or 50% into 100% with Aura Break at half HP.

Zygarde 10% (created at Level 25 with 10% or more of the Cells and at least 1 Core)

Power Construct

54/100/66/60/55/115 total: 450

Zygarde 50% (created at Level 50 with 50% or more of the Cells and at least 2 Cores)

Power Construct/Aura Break (when transformed from 10%'s Power Construct)

108/100/122/80/95/95 total: 600

Zygarde 100% (created at Level 100 with all Cells and Cores)

Aura Break

216/100/144/100/115/75 total: 750

How was good Poliwrath actually? Outclassed and remains outclassed to this day.

Videos like this remind me just how much thought goes into Pokemon designs.

So I want to ask; is Black/White still worth playing? It's the only gen I've skipped and I like that it has completely unique Pokemon in it, and I hear it has a good story (which is why I loved Pokemon Sun so much).

Black/White is definitely worth playing,I'd say the story is better then the one in Sun/Moon

SM is a retread of BW in many ways, without the strawman PETA.

I could gush for hours about the Black and White duology's... everything, basically, so I'm just gonna say yes. Of course, if you'd rather play a Unova game that doesn't exclusively have a Pokedex full of Unova Pokemon, that's one of the details they rectified in Black 2 and White 2, but I'd still highly recommend you play both installments.

Black and White used to have the best story until Sun and Moon came along. That said, it's too linear for my liking though I'm in the minority when it comes to that opinion.

I will admit that if there're any flaws to Black and White I'd have to name, the first would be its linearity. It was essentially the final nail in the coffin for Pokemon's openness, which had been declining with each subsequent game. Ever since then, we've hardly seen a trace of the days where you could fight Wake before Maylene or Blaine before Sabrina or Flannery before Brawly. Kind of a shame, even I'll admit, but I don't feel like it detracts too heavily from Black and White in particular compared to the games that come after.

If there's any truth to their whole "divisive" rumor, I bet opening the game up more is going to be one of the things Pokemon on the Switch does.

Not too much, but more than it's been, at least, and hopefully in a way that's more organic than Gold and Silver's slapdash way of doing it.

Yeah, I especially miss the Sequence Breaking of older games when compared to Sun and Moon's "you can't access the entirety of this city because this one lady and her Stoutland still haven't sniffed out every item they can find". Surely they can find a way to keep the stories at BW/SM-level quality while still retaining something like RGBY's potential for exploration, right?

Openness in Pokemon means nothing to me wxcept for horrendous level curve.

It only means a horrible level curve if it's done the way it was in Johto. In theory, it could work if the story and levels of the wild Pokemon and trainers encourage you to take one route without outright forcing you onto said route. Of course, I haven't designed a Pokemon game before, so it probably wouldn't work as well in practice as it does in my mind.

GF would have to put some real effort into balancing the level curve and whatnot if they wanted to do something more open, and something tells me they probably wouldn't be that good at it.

I don't mind the linearity of Pokemon games or even the railroading. I'm always more excited to play the postgame than the campaign since everything opens up at the end. If there's anything I'll be happy with, it's the option to say no to tutorials when offered.

A little openness probably sounds cool, doesn't have to be Skyrim or Bot W levels of open-world. Course, I did play Pixelmon, and that was a little boring in singleplayer, but there was this cool thing they did. In Creative Mode, you can spawn a special kind of grass that looks like the Gen 3 tall grass that will initiate wild Pokemon battles with mons always with the levels between your lowest party member's level and your highest level's. If something like that would exist in a open-ish world Pokemon game, I'd be cool with that. Not much of a level curve to worry about.

Well a game store amazingly happned to have a copy of Pokemon White, so I grabbed it.

Now to decide whether or not to wait on it or drop Radiant Historia.

EDIT: I gave up on Radiant Historia because it's really hard so now to play this game for tiny children.

My favourite is the otter.

I've seen people express the sentiment that they don't care about story in Pokemon and simply want to raise a team of mons and explore which I don't think BW is the best at providing.

Poliwrath is one of those Pokemon that was competitively passable in its introduction, but peaked early and never really regained whatever status it ever had.
