Pokémon General Thread

A few minutes riding your bike back and forth along a straight path while you watch something on Youtube or whatever goes a long way.

You don't get your bike before the second Gym so that leaves running.

So my options are either run around for a long while and trivialize the second Gym or just focus on training my Oshawott at the Virbank Complex and probably have a normal (if, perhaps, annoying) time at the Gym. I'll probably go for the latter.

You don't get a bike until after 2nd gym.

Roxie's not that hard. Poison's kind of annoying but none of her Pokemon are all that strong even on Hard.

There's Magnemite nearby, anyway.

... Man, I'm sorry you won't get to enjoy the Magnemite Coil. That was a neat little event.

What's this Magnemite Coil?

So, there was a feature in B2W2 called Join Avenue, a series of shops outside Nimbasa that could be staffed with people you've interacted with online and could expand by having shops visited by both other player's avatars and major NPCs. To get as many people involved as possible, it became standard practice to deposit a Magnemite into the GTS, requesting another Magnemite in exchange. This constant shuffling around of Magnemite came to be known as the "Magnemite Coil."

Oh, I read about that, but they referred to it as the "Magnemite Stock Market."

If you're referring to me when you were talking about how someone got Lucario before Roxie, it was a combination of running and level grinding with Audino. Keeping it in the lead slot and not letting it faint helps as well.

Not really.

One means you're bonding with your pokemon, one means you want to bond with your pokemon ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Holy shit, a NOT in 2016.

It is pretty weird that the Pokemon-Amie hearts and the friendship value aren't particularly connected, though.

The real reason to use Pokemon-Amie is to try and pet Magcargo.

For people who want to know what roasted human hands taste like.
