Sorry. ;_;
It's all good. I was never all that fond of Leo's fighting style, anyway, so that's one less character I need to learn.
So is there any word on changes for the console port, or are we playing a waiting game right now?
@ Hashil: But weren't you the one musing about how so few people visited the thread in the first place?
@ Bad Wolf: All we know so far is that Tekken Unlimited Tag Tournament 2 has an option for ratios (2-on-2, 1-on-2, or 1-on-1), Pair Play from TTT is making a comeback, and that solo players have access to the Rage system from T6 whereas tag partners use a system similar to Netsu Power from the original Tag. Any other new features, such as characters, are unknown. Holiday 2012 is still a ways off, so I figure it might be a slow trickle of info between now and then.

"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadThread title corrected. We self-evidently do have a thread about it.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Haha, fair enough.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadFunny thing is that'll probably the only kind of news you'll get for ages. Oh well.
Indeed. The release date is so cryptic and winter is no less than seven months away.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadHolidays =/= Winter. As a matter of fact, it would be kind of a terrible idea to release the game in winter, as that is cutting it very close to Christmas. "Holiday" when it comes to release dates, is around the middle of November onward.
So... eight months then. Same basic window, regardless.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadIf I'm understanding his stance correctly, Harada is like "Jun and Kunimitsu weren't popular according to data tests. But we're deciding to bring back Jun anyway. But not Kuni. Raw data and hard facts matter, not vocal fans who want X character in, but don't worry! If you're vocal enough, we just might listen to you."
That's just silly, Harada. I can understand his disdain for the overly vocal Jun fans who pestered him to no end, but pulling that stint with Kunimitsu, who was equally requested (but the fans were less loud about it) sounds silly. I mean, heck, all I see is petitions for Jun and Kuni. I don't remember people protesting for Jinpachi and True Ogre and Michelle and P. Jack and the like to make the cut for TTT2. Why not just say, "Sorry, but we didn't want her in the game. That's all there is to it" than trying to skirt around it with some terrible excuse that simply doesn't hold water?
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadSaying as much would be tantamount to saying "We don't like your favorite character." Not a great strategy when you're trying to sell a game.
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass.Well, if Ono can have Dan killed right off the bat for SFxT...
Still, this kind of response isn't much better.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadI think with Ono it's just because fans learned long ago that Capcom hates them.
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass.Maybe Harada is just trolling?
I know that Harada has made a few teasing remarks in the past (like TXSF won't be out until 2018), but there's a difference between that and just blatantly ignoring and disavowing information.
Indeed. I saw those posts when reading through the link. Much delight was to be had.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadI remember being turned off to Tekken 2 when I was little partly because of Kunimitsu. I thought she was one of the dumbest looking things ever and didn't even realize she was wearing a mask(like King, I thought that was her actual head). I get her design a bit more now(as well as King)and goofy looking as she was she was at least pretty memorable. I don't know, seems wrong to exclude her when there's such a demand.

That's pretty much where everyone else is coming from. Especially given the Divergent Character Evolution all the characters have experienced during and since TTT, it's not impossible to come up with something for a reworked Kuni (aside from giving her back all of the moves Yoshi took from her and integrated into his moveset).
And hey, at least it's not as bad as the first game, where she was virtually indistinguishable from Yoshi.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadWeren't all the boss characters (except Heihachi) in the first game virtually indistinguishable from the the other characters? At least in terms of gameplay?
It's a strange reaction that Kunimitsu brings on. You don't really see people clamouring so desperately for the return of Forrest Law. :/
I would like her return to the game but I like the roster we have now, so oh well. I mean if they really wanted to, they could release her as DLC or something after the game is released on consoles, assuming they don't include her in that version.
I meant as in appearance, not moveset. In the first game, you'd have a hard time distinguishing Kuni as a woman.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadTouche.
Then again, it is pretty hard to tell Paul and Kuma apart, sometimes.
There's plenty to warrant bringing Kunimitsu back. Forrest is just (Marshal) Law's suspiciously similar looking son, with the exact same style as his pops. Mechanically, and hell, even visually, there's just not much there to make you want him in the game any more than his dad. Kuni actually had a fair number of moves Yoshi didn't, and having played Tag 1 recently I noticed a few she has that I haven't seen Yoshi use even in the most recent games.
And even if she didn't, people are going to want to play as a gorgeous looking kunoichi a lot more than a Brandon Lee clone.
I liked this thread better when only me and X posted here. =/
