Just terrible: Leprechaun

Please, somebody tell me I'm not the only one who thinks the current image◊ is bad.

Either would do, but I'd vote for Ghilz's, because it's less cluttered.

Agreed. Enlong's picture is the most iconic example of a leprechaun.

His is less cluttered and there's less of the blending into the background thing", while mine has a pot of gold and rainbow in addition to clovers.

Enlong's cropped vertically to get rid of some of the extra sky and roadway. Ghilz's is good as it stands. Getting a good one from media would be best of all.

^The amount of sky in Enlong's pic is fine; just need to crop out much of the road is all.

The original pic was a good laugh at the time, when it actually was presented as "an eyewitness sketch of leprechaun" — I think something is said about it on the page. Still, the joke has faded, and I think the page pic needs to be something a little more iconic. I kind of like Enlong's, myself.

I do rather hope that the picture will depict the proper Irish shamrock, not the four-leafed clover with which it is often confused.

The thing I like about Enlong's is that it has a rainbow and a pot of gold. If it needs to be cropped, I would cut off some of the bottom but leave the top. Also, agree with Mad's "something from media is best" comment, but don't know what that would be.

Changed my mind: The rainbow and pot of gold is totally good, but the Simpsons leprechaun is better because it's from a TV show.

It's been three days and one option has a clear lead. Can we call this?

I haven't been keeping track — have the numbers stabilized, or is the crowner still getting new votes?

Right now, these are the only three with positive totals:

• +9 (yeas:13 nays:4) Rainbow and pot of gold
• +3 (yeas:4 nays:1) Shamrock-themed
• +2 (yeas:6 nays:4) Recurring leprechaun from The Simpsons

Rainbow and pot of gold got one plus vote between yesterday and right now. I don't think any of the others changed.

Let's see what, if anything changes between today and tomorrow morning.
