I'll say it again, it might be possible for the Wii to do that.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more! You have got to be kidding. The Wii, while rather powerful, could not render 16 500,000-polygon cars while a hyper-advanced physics system, including hyper-realistic rain and snow runs in the background.
"Who wants to hear about good stuff when the bottom of the abyss of human failure that you know doesn't exist is so much greater?"-Wraith...Oh. That's a different story then.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Still the next console Nintendo releases will definitely have HD support since that's kind of the norm now.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Let's hope so. The gamecube had more power then the PS 2 or XBOX, but no one wanted to use it correctly...
"Who wants to hear about good stuff when the bottom of the abyss of human failure that you know doesn't exist is so much greater?"-WraithThe next Nintendo console is likely to have graphical capabilities a bit above, but noticeably better, than the current X Box 360/PS 3, and the next Microsoft and Sony systems are likely to be a bit above that. I don't think there's going to be a large difference in graphical capabilities in the next generation. The differentiating factors is likely to be something else.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.Thats if there even is another system after this one.
^^ No, the Xbox was more powerful than the Gamecube.
The XBOX had more RAM, I think, but Gamecube had more processing power.
"Who wants to hear about good stuff when the bottom of the abyss of human failure that you know doesn't exist is so much greater?"-WraithNot sure if it's been mentioned in this thread already, but has anyone here seen the screens for FAST League Racing? Pretty damn impressive for the Wii, especially since it's a WiiWare title capped at 40MB.

That's impressive.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more! That actually looks cool, especially in an artistic sense, not just a detail sense.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Looks really nice. Makes me wish I was the type who enjoys racing games.
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."....Oh, fuck, why did my Wii have to break!? That game look fucking BAWS.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more! No, the disc drive stopped working. Everything else worked; the internet, the memory, the channels—but the disc drive would not read discs.
I think it was because when we had it during summer 2 years ago, my brother's friends would come over and we'd play Super Smash Brothers Brawl for literally about 10-16 hours a day. For three months straight.
Eventually, I guess the thing just gave up.
"Who wants to hear about good stuff when the bottom of the abyss of human failure that you know doesn't exist is so much greater?"-WraithThe difference between The Last Story and Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey is that Nintendo is putting their muscle behind it.
Nintendo expects results, else it won't leave Japan.
Wizard Needs Food BadlyBecause that worked out so fantastically for Metroid Other M.
Looks pretty, but I noticed that they reused assets from Jett Rocket.
EDIT: And it's using anti-aliasing. Don't judge the final game by the screenshots.

And I don't think we even mentioned Jett Rocket itself, which is freakning GORGEOUS, despite being a Wii Ware game sized at only 40 MB.
...which game are you talking about? A lot of games have been mentioned in this thread...and most recently...Other M...that game with the one cutscene the sliced an entire fandom cleanly in half.
So far, the best "looking" Wii Ware game is Cave Story imo...

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."^^ It's not that impressive. The game has no NPCs, there's only 3 environments, nobody talks except Jett, briefly, and most of the game's prettiness comes from spamming environment mapping, which the Wii can actually do well.

I don't care much about HD. From what I've seen, normal (non-HD) visuals look horrible on it, so I don't see any reason to get it, at least not yet. So, the Wii's non-HD-ness is not a bad thing for me. Actually it's rather good, as text on some PS 3 games is hard to read for me.
But I don't care much for graphics anyway.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.It has always bugged me. How come HD games often have horrible text?

Eh, I prefer Mario Kart.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.
