[up]I like how people are still complaining about Warwick and Yorick's lack of reworks when Riot 100% confirmed that Warwick and Yorick are the next two relaunches after Ryze [lol]

Still, I'm an little confused as to how someone can be so psychotic over someone else's decisions. I figured that if I can't win against an better Darius in a duel, that I might as well push mid and hope that someone better than me will take over as I harass someone that I can kill, like Yasuo...Which opened up another can of worms since it seems that I'm the only who can handle sharing an lane. And then they figured out that I was the weakest link as my team threaten to report me for being bad the game (like that'll ever work, since I wasn't playing maliciously) and the enemy started farming me.

Have you considered playing a different game that suits your style rather than being yourself and ruining the game for everyone else? Your options are to either learn how to play the game and play accordingly or play something that's more "you". All you're doing is making people upset because you won't play ball and act like you're the victim when people won't conform to you. You are technically the bad guy here.

It's because Ryze has been put up and completed his rework while these other champs were still iterating.

In my defense, the game doesn't really provide an lot an feedback on what's right or wrong. I just chose to avoid picking an fight that I can't win when I'm farming and hope for the best.

That's because this a team-based game. The game doesn't provide you feedback because the feedback is supposed to be from your teammates. Who. You. Are. Supposed. To. Work. With. Not screw over by playing with the "It's All About Me" mindset, which is incredibly toxic to the game.

I'm being really honest with you here: Until you get out of that mindset, which is clear from all of your posts and comments you are in, don't play anything other than bots, as this game is a team game, and playing like how you normally do does not contribute to a team.

Let me put it like this: My average PvE game is something along the lines of me trying out an new champion in top. From there, either I take the first turret and then the bots chase me out of that lane, which leads to me wandering the map. Or I just get disappointed or frustrated with whomever I'm playing as and start farming elsewhere as the other four wins the match. I would also add that it's basically anything goes in PvE since hardly anyone complains about my pro-vagrancy playstyle or anything else that I did "wrong".

Cut to me playing Pv P yesterday, where I decided that it would be better to push mid to farm IP for an new Champion rather than deal with an overfed meat-shield in the near-future. Personally, I don't really mind that much sharing an lane with someone, but apparently people can't accept the probably that your tank is shit at dealing with an mirror-match who's better than him and has decided to help someone else...And promptly gets killed by tactics the bots don't employed, like having an partner hide in an bush.

So I posted most of the fight on their boards yesterday, and one of the first responses was along the lines of "this game is filled with psychopaths who will try to ban you over simply being bad at this game." And then they started asking me why my build was so weird, an question on who's good for me to spam autoattacks on, and that I should by this item for Darius that I'd never heard of before since he relys on spamming his abilities. I didn't check on it today yet, but it's probably hidden by now since they hate an You Tube video filled with toxicity.

I mean the fact that you're struggling against bots is telling. I've seen myself and others effortlessly 2v1 a lane vs bots and get a doublekill before minions even got there. people care less in PVE because 2 halfway competent players can usually 2v5 and win.

See, there's your issue in PvP: You leave your lane when you lose and go to someone else's lane. Thereby giving your lane opponent free-farm, and crippling another teammate because they have to share XP with you.

It's not that people can't accept that, it's that you're not supposed to do that if you want to win. The game is set up 1 Top, 1 Jungle, 1 Mid, 2 Bot for a reason, and that reason is that is the best way to play the game. Get shit on by an enemy? Play defensive and ask for your jungler's assistance.

And no, this game is filled with people who don't enjoy losing because someone on their team is actively screwing them over, which is what you're doing. You're not being actively malicious, but you're still screwing your team in PvP with the "welp, lost my lane, time to go to someone else's lane" because that makes your teammate lose their lane. Also: For the fifteenth time, Darius isn't an auto-attack based champion, the fact that he has next to no attack speed growth should tell you that.

Honestly, if you want to get better: Watch videos of good players, and learn from them.

About the items: I'm just using with what I'm familiar with. I thought the Berserker's Greaves would be an good choice since his passive is fueled by five autoattacks/abilities to trigger his bloodlust. And then I went Titanic Hydra to help stay alive. The Darius encounter went by the both of us spamming Q and I lost after I got 5 stacks on me. I thought, "Ok, our jungler is near bot, I can't win this lane by fighting this guy. Maybe I should go ahead leech off of someone else since the opposition is fierce today and if I get killed now, there's no way in Tartarus that I'll win later." So I pushed mid to see if we could win the game there. It obviously didn't go so well since their Darius rarely took the bait.

Darius' passive is also stacked by his abilities, and that's where the majority of the stacks are meant to come from.

To be fair, I don't think Bersker's on Darius is an awful idea, but it's definitely not the optimal build. Darius is built for prolonged engagements, so generally speaking you don't need attack speed, because you'll have all the time you need to dish out damage, but you do need defense. That way, if you can't secure a kill, then you can take advantage by staying in lane to farm. Getting a kill and having to immediately base isn't that advantageous, and getting a kill but dying isn't advantageous at all.

Then what is the optimal Darius build that doesn't make an blind-picked team go from 0 to "FUCK YOU, TRAITOR SCUM!" in 5 minutes? Since I thought Berserker's Greaves was good because of movement speed + attack speed = No escape from his bloodlust. Titanic Hydra for easier farming and Bloodthirster for twice the leech effect. From there, I'm thinking Frozen Heart, but PvE matches rarely lasts that long.

Black Cleaver, Dead Man's Plate, Sterak's Gage, Titanic Hydra, Banshee's Veil/Spirit Visage, Mercury's Treads/Ninja Tabi/Boots of Swiftness (boot choice is dependent on the enemy team)

Congrats: You are now playing Darius correctly

So how useful are the summoner spells in this game? I've never really gave them that much attention until I just got through reading an satirical article on League of Legends and it called Ghost the "I'm dumb enough to walk into my dudes spell" while praising Heal and Flash for their combat utility...And most people fail to see the purpose of Revive.

Outside of me using Heal to stay alive for the next minute or two and casting Teleport to "help" an teammate, I don't really have that big of an use for them. I would say Smite is good for me, but I prefer to farm an lane first before I start roaming.

Flash is auto take, always. Admittedly I still forget I have summoners sometimes (you have no idea how many times someone got away from me with enough health that if I remembered I had Ignite, I would have killed them.)

Revive stopped existing ages ago.

Smite is a must-take on junglers, because it helps them get maximum benefit out of their jungle clears. Flash is hugely useful for a wide variety of plays from escapes to engages and is taken on almost every champion (although a few junglers take Ghost alongside Smite instead, like Hecarim and Olaf). Exhaust is primarily used by supports to peel for carries, heavily impairing a high-damage enemy. Heal has a lot of uses and is generally taken by ADC's since it targets two people and thus synergizes well with bot lane's 2 v 2 setup. Teleport has many uses as well and is taken by most non-carry top laners and some mid laners, because it makes roaming (roaming the proper way, not going to another lane and stealing farm and XP for the rest of the game) a lot easier. Ignite is for aggressive lanes that want to pick up early kills and snowball off of that, so a lot of mid laners and some carry top laners take it. Ghost is generally only used by champions with a "run at the enemy and murder their faces at melee range" playstyle, most commonly Hecarim, and for a long time was barely used at all before it got buffed. Cleanse is mostly situational, being good against enemy teams with a lot of CC. Barrier is... I'm not even sure, I've never really seen it used outside of ARAM, but I don't think it's that useful on Summoner's Rift.

Summoner spells are actually really important once you start getting to ranked and experienced normals, but in bot games and early Pv P they're not as big of a deal due to nobody really having a firm grasp on mechanics unless they're smurfing or came from a similar MOBA. Even where I am (never played a ranked game, MMR seemingly in the silver range since the only ranked players I've played with for several months have been silvers) summoner spells are often called when the enemy uses them, since loss of summoner spells makes them a lot easier to kill.

[up][up] Yeah barrier is really situationnal, i use it on certain matchup, like Cassiopeia against Leblanc.

imo exhaust is a better defensive spell.

@Rabid: Regarding your question about optimal builds, if you're new to a champion or to the game in general just go with the recommended build. Those items will make you highly effective at your champion's intended role. The issue with your builds is that you build attack speed and bloodthirster on pretty much every champion, even those with incredibly weak autoattacks and no AA steroid. Darius certainly isn't the worst bruiser to build AS on, because of his stacking passive, but the suggested build will suit his playstyle better.

That, however, is not really the reason why your teammates are angry at you. If they pointed to your build it's because it's an easy thing to point to that you're doing "wrong", but everyone plays random builds from time to time. I played support Cho'Gath and built Zz'rot portal in a recent game because I could, and our Nasus top laner build Ohmwrecker. The actual reason they're angry at you is because of everything that's been mentioned previously about your actual play in the game.

What can you do if you're losing your lane? Stay under your tower and farm minions there while waiting for the jungler to come help you out. Your tower is a massive defensive boon, because if your lane opponent attacks you under it they're going to take retaliation shots which inflict pretty considerable damage early on. Politely ask the jungler to gank your lane and help them out if they show up to do so.

If you give a mouse a cookie, it can burn down the world. I burn.
