Pool Party Mundo was actually impossible to get without spending money. The points for winning a premade were ONLY given if the enemy team was also a premade. It was actually common for a 5-stack to go against a 4-stack or something like that.

[down]The event specifically stated "5 points for winning a fully premade game against another premade team" iirc.

Anyone else feel that may be a reference to that one image macro "They stole my backpack - I stole their lives"? iirc it's called Karate Kyle?

Well, if you haven't seen it, Riot wants to change up Juggernauts. (No, not THAT Juggernaut.)

No, seriously, big changes. Popular opinion is that they're not too great, however.

I dunno how I feel about the changes.

Darius' sounds pretty crazy, in an annoying way when you're against him. I mean, assuming he's near-invincible, he'll be almost impossible to dispatch before his power spike.

Garen's change actually sound fairly nice, at least to me. Then again, he will also be hard to evade/dispatch.

Skarner's changes feel like they come from left field.

Darius's changes might be too good; if I'm reading it right, his maxed-out ult is release!Darius all over again. And Garen's system of targetting the "MVP" of sorts is interesting. Both however will need to be tested.

Skarner and Mordekaiser, on the other hand, seem.....ech. Skarner's passive seems useless outside the jungle and has the potential to screw him over, and once the novelty of sending Dragon ghosts on people wears off he doesn't look that much better.

Darius is still scary. In fact, he's even more terrifying.

Garen.... TLDR: Garen Q: Shorter silence Garen W: Same Active, Tenacity Removed, Passive Now Stacks Armor/MR up to 30 Instead Flat 20% Increase, Garen E: Cooldown is Shorter if Canceled Early, Slows Himself When Hitting Enemy Champs, Now Does Damage in Small Ticks Allowing Black Cleaver to be Stacked Almost Instantly, With 250 AD can Deal About 4.2k Damage Before Resistances Over its Duration Garen R: Now Marks Villains (Last Person to get Kill, Does not change targets rapidly during teamfights), Villains take %hp true damage during Judgement and ult deals true damage to them

The King of Spin 2 Win is back.

Skarner and Morde, yeah. I mean, Mordekaiser's rework is being done by fucking CertainlyToxic soo....

He gets full XP in a duo lane. Pair him up with Zilean and he'll hit 6 miles ahead of his lane opponents. The only recourse is to bully him hard and fast and keep him from getting minion kills.

It is balanced, in the sense that there's a strong risk/reward to bringing a melee/AP champion into bottom lane as a carry, but it does have the potential to be extremely potent if played well.

It happens with every rework or champ release. Even with some skins, honestly.

Just gotta give it a few days, maybe a week or so, and it'll die down.

[up][up]There's a magical thing called Team Builder that prevents what you're dealing with.

That being said, Team Builder sucks because ADCs and Supports think they're the most fucking important thing in the world, and will leave your party if they don't like the composition. Which will make the other members leave.... and you'll repeat this process about four or five times until you finally get into a game.

[down]I've seen Jinx, Vayne... hell, nearly every ADC leave a team that was perfect for them. Don't even try and say that bullshit here. Most of the time they just immediately leave without even taking the time to check the team. Honestly, I think they're just being fucking trolls.

There's no point in staying if you can clearly see the teamcomp you just joined is very likely to get destroyed. Would much rather get into a teamcomp where I don't have to fight against the odds.

[up][up]Exactly.

I should clearly stay in the lobby with the "Support Teemo" who will undoubtedly steal my kills and is too kill/gold hungry of a champion to be a good support, the Jungle Sona, the Top Lane Ziggs, and the Mid Lane Graves. Yep. GREAT team comp idea.

Or, better yet, the Team Builder where I'm the ADC and the guy accidentally set the other slot to search for Marksmen and goes "Yeah. Please stay. Two AD Cs in Bot will be OP".

No thanks.

And, actually, I did try to do Team Builder. Took 30 mins to get a game started because the lobbies kept cancelling out.

[up]And the Nautilus Jungle (me), Ryze Top, Yasuo Mid and Sona Support?

Because I waited for over forty minutes for an ADC who didn't immediately leave with that exact team comp.

Don't piss in my ear and tell me it's rain. ADC is the most selfish role, filled with the worst people.

Like Vayne players. Well... at least they're not Riven mains.

-sigh- Maybe I'm just salty from all the bullshit I have to deal with in Team Builder, and the infuriating things in League that should have been fixed years ago that are still here.

[down]I am the lobby host when this shit is going on. That's why I'm pissy about ADCs insta-leaving a full team, or leaving before the team even gets filled, and genuinely believe that 90% of people who queue as "Marksman" are frigging trolls.

#42193: Aug 5th 2015 at 8:01:55 PM

[up][up]Well, yes, those team comps are fine. I never said it was perfectly peachy. But, at the same time, there are often LEGITIMATE reasons for someone to jump lobby. Sometimes I get into a lobby and we wait on a support for 10 mins and I jump because I'd rather find myself a lobby that already has a support instead of waiting an entire game's length to play one game.

BlackSunNocturne Since: Aug, 2013
#42194: Aug 5th 2015 at 8:31:06 PM

[up]And then you make other people wait because you're too impatient.

Do you not see the logic there, and why so many people hate ADCs in Team Builder now?

"Oh, no support immediately after I get in, lemme leave now and make the other three people wait another twenty minutes"

That shit is incredibly irritating, and honestly, I'm in the camp that says "If you leave a teambuilder lobby before the game starts, you get an extra five minutes on your queue"

-

In other news: CertainlyT says Mordekaiser is unhealthy and toxic to the game, which is why he's reoworking him to be an ADC replacement, and gutting his solo lane potential.

You gotta respect the man's balls, since he's the one who created Darius, Zyra, Zed, Thresh, Yasuo, and Kalista, who are all considered incredibly toxic to the game, but he's a fucking moron who needs to be fired. I don't want to fucking see one of my favorite champions ruined by that hack.

[down]It's his fault for designing them. Hell, the fact that he's been quoted saying that he purposely makes them overpowered so they'll see play is also pretty damning.

It's a shame that his Champions are all the most interesting in the game (well, and Darius). Still, it's not his fault that all his Champions were accepted by the other people at Riot.

as an occasional support teemo, he works just fine, haha.

I do take flash/ignite, but it seems really weird to me how pissy people get for swooping in and killing that sliver of health enemy who'd just have B'd to safety if I hadn't. You need the masteries and setup for it to work, but it can work just fine with the right lane. But then, I'm a dirty Teemo main, so what do I know.

[up][up][up]So, I should wait 20 mins for a support to show up??? What about if I only have an hour to play a game? What should I do if either someone trying to do a really unusual lane (i.e. playing Nasus Support?) shows up? Or if the team leader rejects a Support Sona for no reason so we have to wait another 5 mins?

I understand your frustration, but please understand mine when I have had lobbies exactly like this where I'm spending more time waiting for the game to start than actually playing the game.

[up]Every teemo support I've had goes 'Whops. I didn't mean to KS.' a billion times. : / And when you're a kill hungry ADC, it becomes frustrating. I mean, I totally understand champions that don't always have the best control; I main Sona so I know how annoying pressing Q in a Team fight and accidentally landing a double can be. Heck, I had a game the other day where I got so many kills off of just a well timed auto attack by mistake. And, in the long run, I'd rather the support be having kills than the other team getting kills, but it still means I'm fighting an uphill battle to get the damage needed for late game.

[up]Seriously? That's your argument? Only having an hour to play? Unusual Supports?

If you have only an hour to play a game, You. Shouldn't. Be. Playing. A. Game. That. Takes. 45. Minutes. On. Average. In. The. First. Place. Seriously, that's honestly one of the big rules of League, up there with "Don't Chase Singed". By saying that, you're kind of making yourself seem like one of the lowest of the low players in the eyes of many players, including myself. Do you know how many times I've lost because of someone pulling that? Far too many.

Nasus can't even be played as a support. Gangplank is a better example of an unusual support that many people would scoff at, but he works amazingly well if played properly.

I've never seen a team leader reject an actual support. Ever.

"when you're a kill hungry ADC" There's your first problem. Unless you're playing Draven, don't complain about the support getting kills. And if you're "KS'ing" as Sona, do you know what you do? Build AP and wreck their faces, because AP Sona is terrifying.

Honestly, what I see from your counter-arguments is a very "It's All About Me"-type attitude. Which isn't the most healthy for a game that's already notorious for toxicity amongst its playerbase.

Literally 90% of my games never go longer than 45 mins. Regardless, I shouldn't have to wait 1/2 the time I'm going to be playing the game waiting for a support.

I NEVER leave a game once I'm in. PERIOD. I don't. I know how much that sucks. But, if I'm trying to get in lobby and I realize that by that point I do not have enough time to play, I will leave that lobby and I will exit the launcher. I think that's a lot better than getting in game and going 'K guys, if we don't win by 20, I have to go. Good luck' which that one happened to me once and it royally pissed me off.

That and ALL of the examples I have mentioned above are ones I have witnessed. You think I'm going to ADC in a lane with AD!Nasus, a champion that naturally needs CS to do well? I'd rather not.

I DO understand your frustration. God knows I've had that same issue when I've got 3 people in a Skype call dicking around for someone to finally join lobby and they instantly leave. Its annoying as all hell.

But do try to understand my frustration.

And, btw, I DO build Sona AP. Period. But I also make sure to try and keep my ADC fed and only AA if they're about to get the kill. I do try my best not to KS. Because I have had games that failed because I took a ton of kills in lane and my ADC couldn't keep up. I've also been that ADC who had a support who got a ton of kills and, while I was happy that they and the team were doing well, I felt like dead weight because I didn't have nearly as many kills.

At it's core, the basic idea of Team Builder is making sure everybody gets the role and champion they want within a teamcomp and strategy they are okay with.

If it means I have to dodge 8 lobbies in a row ( I don't think i've ever went that far, though), so be it.

Would much rather do that than play with a comp I hate from the beginning and have no faith in.
