Man, just had a crazy game. Went 4-4 before 4 minutes. The whole thing started on pretty much a team-wide teamfight and didn't ever really slow down... we won because we had the better late-game comp, but damn.
Why does it always feel like junglers are the most temperamental players. Our Skarner was taking swipes at us not 20 minutes in... while spending all his time power farming in the jungle and never helping in the Great Game-Wide Battle.
Still, he came out of it able to walk through two towers without taking much damage and we won in the end, so that's all that matters.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.Players go to jungles to be lone wolfs, though they can sometimes be team players.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"True enough, I suppose. But like, I play with one guy who jungles regularly(Almost always Yi but he's trying to branch out). He pretty much power-farms for the first 15 minutes(Citing, "I don't have gank potential until level 6 and I'm not strong enough to close out kills until I get items, what am I gonna do?). But while he does't really help lanes, he at least doesn't flame them for failing, either.
He did once flame me for being a shitt Rengar, but it was more in jest. And he though the Rengar was a random.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes. It is horrible when, as a support, I end up with as much, or just a bit less, damage than my ADC...
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesI agree.
ADC are cowardly wusses, the manly support players should always do more damage than them.
The Great Northern Threadkill.Oh. Also. Quote of the day. (that is, yesterday)
"It is ok, Thresh cannot do anything to me if he grabs me"
-Corki. Three seconds before death by Thresh grab
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesSo how do you guys do you champions selection?
I'm just curious what it was like for you all upon entry and how you all continued into the game.
I'm interested because I noticed Kegisak seemed to be focusing a lot on support starting out and now moving onto mid.
When I started I picked Ryze because I like magic characters and after that I picked champions based on my interest in their backstory or aesthetic design.
Like for example, early on I went through the trouble of making sure I had as many Yordles as I could get regardless of if I knew how to play them (Not knowing Lulu was mainly support, the unusual inflexibility and squishiness of Corki in comparison to Tristana, Not realizing how jungling worked or that Amumu required an ungodly amount of gold to be an effective tank).
For a short while I went through the trouble of nabbing a bunch of supports mostly out of necessity than actual desire. and AD Cs because they seemed like a lot of fun at the time.
And nowadays I'm basically on a mage spree again.
The Blog The ArtI just pick whatever is left. My spirit has been broken and I no longer believe a single individual's efforts will do a difference if the rest of the team is more akin to single celled forms than multi celled ones. I just pick whatever is left, or immediatly counter whatever the enemy chose that has not been chosen yet, simply to play.
There is no winning out of skill, just luck of not getting the feeders.
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesThose I like lore-wise and whose mechanics I deem suit my playstyle. Mostly those I like tho.
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesWell. I am nto only attracted to lore and looks, also to mechanics. For example, the mechanics of Blitzcrnak and Thresh, the hook and the rather unique manner of initiation are attractive, as well as the characters themselves. For Nami and Sona, they are staple healers. Evelynn's stealth seemed great and Rammus seemed just plain OP at the moment.
Things like Jax and Jarva IV did not attract me, much less when I got to play them when they were free so, despite how cheap Jax is I have not purchased him.
I read up on them and their abilities and such.

It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesI try everything out. See if the way champions play feels intuitive and rewarding.
I like to play champs that can cc-lock and initiate, tanky or not. I also like being able to harass my opponents constantly.
If I have to play a damage dealer, I want something that can delete characters asap, and it's even better if they can try and initiate teamfights.
So, yeaaaah, Annie and the good ol' Ap Gragas where favorites of mine.
The Great Northern Threadkill.Karma can do that job pretty well too. DFG+Mantra+Q= 3/4 a relatively squishy champion's hp, toss in ignite and W and you've got yourself a kill. Her shield and Mantra+W give her insane baiting potential, as well as good survivability, and between Mantra+E and Mantra+Q she has insane control over the teamfights. Not much of an initiator though, unless a squishy decides to walk face-first into W range.
'All shall love me and despar!'I pick whatever I want to pick
Unless it's an offrole, then I just pick the easiest champ in that role

DeerMy preferred Champions are both A) Female and B) The good guy in their story. For various definitions of good guy - I like Sejuani as a champion, for example, despite her falling into what would be an antagonistic role in a traditional story, because I recognize that she's doing what she does because she genuinely believes it's the best option for her people, which in my books makes her good enough.
In terms of mechanics I like really utility or CC heavy supports - I've been enjoying a lot of Alistar lately, but I still prefer Nami just because she can be paired up with every champion and still be useful just because the same abilities that make her safe allow her to lock down an enemy if you can lead the bubbles right. I like playmakers, basically. Mids, I've found that as much as I like mages I find mobility-heavy champs a lot more fun, so I've been looking at some assassins lately.
And in terms of picks... if I'm playing teambuilder(Read: Playing alone) I'll pick Nami unless I wanna try someone out or practice someone. If I'm playing blind pick I'll try to pick into whatever works best of the team. As a result I'm trying to pick up all the supports I can so that I'll have a good spread of options there.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes. But Nami stabs people with a Swordfish!
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Ypu say that like it's a bad thing.
Nami is the cutest, sweetest dork who loves fish puns even when she'stabbing people.

Ah I wish I have PBE access...can't wait for that smexy new Summoner's Rift to get in-game. Also really wanna see that Ravenborn Leblanc splash art, I'm curious if they'd put Swain in it somehow. I mean, yeah the skin's an obvious allusion to them being a thing (for 3 IRL years, but only the lore-fans knew about it really), but sometimes Riot just put the champ making a pose and not much else. I love the splash-arts that show a little more (like heck, even Battle Bunny Riven's splash showcased Tyrant Swain's skin ahead of time).
Also first time posting here, hard to keep up to speed with so many pages, but hi!
