Jolene was a bandit and had a daughter. The other bandits killed her daughter and possibly raped her. After that she most likely viewed Clementine as a replacement for her daughter.

I... did not get that at all. But it makes sense.

Also:

"It smells weird in here..."

"Like shit, right Lee?" Is the best thing.

Re: Doug, I've played the first two episodes through twice each, deliberately making different decisions to see what happens. So I've seen a living Doug in Ep. 2. I only noticed two real differences:

1) Doug builds a "security system" (a bunch of bells attached to tripwires) at the beginning of the episode, which means you hear the St. John's boys coming from farther away. Doesn't make much difference, obviously—you still go with them to the dairy no matter what.

2) Since Cayley isn't there to shoot at (Andy? Danny? whichever) to distract him, Doug tries to blind him with a laser pointer.

Overall it looks like Doug/Cayley is going to be a minor character, which makes sense. As cool as it would be to see completely different storylines based on what decisions you make, that'd be a much more expensive game.

I'm enjoying the game a lot, but I'm noticing that having read the comics too, I'm pretty jaded about everyone in the Walking Dead universe. Of course the St. John's are up to something horrible, probably cannibalism. It's just what happens in this universe.

I personally really enjoyed the two parts, and am really anticipating the third installment. That being said, I wish Kenny wouldn't have become such a dick in the meat locker part. Lee seems to always become good friends with him, but after him murdering the old guy, everyone hates him. It's a little saddening. I get his motives, he was worried about his, and the group's safety. This really goes to show, some situations can never be justified, even when it's murdering a fat, racist old bastard.

Damnit, not this, killing is wrong no matter what BS. Thank you, with episode2 spoiled I no longer feel bad about my decisions. That was completely sincere by the way. As I'm one of those few people smart enough not to complain about spoilers when I actively choose to go into said thread, discussing said topic.

Anyway, I kind of figure it was going to a be a superficial/minor difference sort of thing. Admitting that each episode is 2 to 3 hours only give a little room on how vast the story line changes would be when choosing a character.

The only way morality choices and stuff like that can ever have an impact is essentially making half a game worth of stuff centered around those choices and the consequences of those choices and for a game that this short it wasn't going to happen on any grand scale.

Also. I really hope Kenny gets better in Episode 3. Don't make the cool guy from episode one into a dick. Its bad enough you made his son the Scrappy character. I mean, dude come saves your life whether he lives or hates you. That's who I want having my back.

Exactly. Murder is bad, and even if it's a fucking zombie apocalypse. Also: I swear, every character I like so far has DIED. FUCK. First it was the cop driver, then it was Shawn Greene (even though there absolutely NO WAY for you to save him, it still sucks), then Mark... Fucking hell, it's like my love is LETHAL.

It's been about a week and like 20 posts since Episode 2 was released. Time for spoilers have long passed considering it's only 2 hours long.

That guy that joins in between episodes that helps Lee patrol the farm's fence. Also he got his legs ate.

Inbetween the episodes? Aaw crap, they're going to put out in between episode comics we're going to have to buy.

[up] The dialogue makes it sound like nothing interesting happened between eps 1&2. Kenny started trying to fix an RV in the motel parking lot. They almost ran out of food. Mike showed up with a lot of food. Then they ran out of food again. I think that's pretty much it.

They'd find a way. It involved money.

Duck is the scrappy? Really? But he's adorable. :(

Next you're going to tell me people like Larry.

I felt bad for Lily, but not Larry.

Probably because I went along with Kenny.

But really, it's saying something when I felt worse for Andy than Larry.

Is this game set in the show's canon or the comic's?

The comics, the first episode at least is actually a prequel to it, when Rick was still in a coma.

I haven't read the comics or seen the show, but apparently Lily was in the comics in a minor role, and Glenn was in both? (And him taking Clementines walkie-talkie is a continuity gag?)

I wonder what's going to happen in the next episode? In the first episode Lee found the group, in the second they established a base, and in the third maybe they'll find a new base? I dunno, what do you guys think?

We'll probably take off in Kenny's RV, since it's called "Long Road Ahead."

How that will work if he hates you is another matter.

Well in the trailer it shows a train, another survivor group, and the gang gathering more supplies on foot. I think the RV plays a small part in it, but not the entirety.

Most I can gather from the previews is that it'll involve the bandits forcing the group to abandon the motel, involves a train, and will have a lot more infighting than episode 2.

@ Mukora: Yes on both accounts, Hershel's also a character from the comics/show. His son's already dead by the time the gang encounters him there.

More infighting than Episode 2?

Man, this is going to be a charlie foxtrot of nuclear proportions, isn't it?

So is the show any good? I've heard mixed reactions to it.
