Vegeta did, however, take down everyone before the Ginyu Force showed up and then took down Guildo.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Yeah, but Vegeta arrived strong enough for that. He didn't have to become strong enough until he took a Mulligan on Zarbon, and he never put a conscious effort into raising his strength until they were fighting Frieza's Third Form - for all the good it did him.
Vegeta did the same thing Gohan and Krillin did: fly around trying not to die long enough to gather the Dragon Balls. He was just a bit higher on the power curve than they were while doing it.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Well I guess I got my answer in last night's Destiny Stream about them leaving Twitch. Turns out Twitch turned down TFS' request to become partners and they had a higher subscriber count on their gaming youtube channel.
Also, TFS Plays and Krillin Plays will now be uploaded Monday-Friday whenever a series is running and will be uploaded to their website and You Tube simultaneously.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! That seemed to be happening for a while now, but it might just be more consistent.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.TFS Plays Batman (first of the daily installments)
Krillin Platys Soma (ditto)
Renegade for Life: Tony Hawks Pro Skater 5
The first two are also on You Tube.

One thing I do find interesting about DBZ: Abridged is that it's ironically a time capsule on how social trends have changed over the years. Like how the first season had a bunch of gay jokes.
Great post by KaizerNeko. Kinda depressing some people have apparently completely missed the point. Really, so of the reblogs are complaining about how he "shouldn't feel he needs to apologize" or "need to be more proud of his jokes". It is kinda awful. How can they even take that from that post?
I'm glad he acknowledged the Unfortunate Implications behind the rape dream between Bulma and Vegeta; by itself it was funny, but considering their relationship later...yea
- sigh* Its kind of a shame how more socially aware we become, the less acceptable somethings are.
It's part of growing up.
Frankly, I feel like it's a reason to be more creative.
I saw that post from Kaiser before. It's amazing. Their style of comedy really has matured, and I enjoy that.
One thing that has made TFS stand out, in my opinion, is that they no longer let the jokes ruin dramatic moments. Goku going Super Saiyan is exactly the same as the original. All we need to do is check the WMG page to see how people wanted to ruin it by turning it into ANOTHER joke.
They're not trying to turn the series into a joke anymore. They're just making a more comedic retelling. And I enjoy that a lot more.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! It's like I said it was earlier in the thread, basically Dragon Ball Z Abridged is a second dub of the anime at this point.
I think that difference sets Team Four Star apart from many other abridged series. This one is an adaptation of Dragonball Z in its own right, not just a vehicle for jokes, where you could switch out the source material for another show and it would still have the same feel, but with different characters. Probably explained this very poorly.
Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pierA lot of people noticed that. And they complain about it.
I agree with you though, I like this better (not that they were bad before), the comedy isn't gone it's just more...I'm not sure what word I'm looking for, but it's still good.
Well, Kai Abridged had Squeaky Goku when he turned Super Saiyan, and that worked in THAT context. In the actual abridged version, well, timing is everything.
Less reliant on gay jokes. I think Zarbon was the last time they did one.
I think that's a good word for it.
The new style feels like people actively being funny with their natural personalities as opposed to the old style, which was more jokes for jokes sake without much personality in them.
You know, if they don't make a "You Are A Pirate" reference in the Bojack movie, I'll be very disappointed.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseTrue. The Super Sayajin transformation is an example. There is comedy in there. Except, instead of throwing a random joke and ruining the moment, they just had Freeza being Freeza. That way, it is still funny without ruining the dramatic moment.

Well, aside from those two hapless mooks that blew up their ship.
Neither did Vegeta. He outperformed them initially but was quickly outclassed against the Ginyus and Frieza. Defeating Captain Ginyu was a team effort between Gohan, Krillin, Vegeta, and Goku, while Gohan and Krillin performed about as well against Frieza as Vegeta did - that is to say, not terribly well at all, barely struggling to survive between getting their asses stomped.
It was Goku that did the brunt of the "getting strong enough to fight". Everyone else was just struggling to survive long enough for him to join the party.
