Even though Toei are godawfully horrible, they have every right to enforce their copyright on TFS' videos, if that is even what is happening here. You don't have to like it, but TFS exist because Toei/Funimation have allowed them to. They have no obligation to continue to allow them.

No, they don't. They're just one of many IP-holders abusing YouTube's system to silence legally-protected transformative works. Abridged series are covered under Fair Use of Copyright as parodies.
If they really had any legal ground to stand on, they wouldn't be filing shitty copyright claims on You Tube and calling it a day. Their lawyers would be filing a Cease and Desist order. But they can't do that, because no judge in the world would ever rule in their favor.
TFS continues to operate not by the mercy of Toei but because they have every legal right to exist, no matter how much Toei may bitch and moan about it.

I'm amazed they at how this got all most all of the episodes and movies without just taking down the channel. Super 13 movie and Super Saiyan Bardock special are still up, by the way. I guess they missed them for one reason or another.
