Just wait until tier 5. All that armour goes bye bye. In both lines of tanks. The ARL has armour again, and then nothing else does, save for the TDs.

Given that many of the French Tanks don't require more than 2 people to drive them, I'm thinking that it might be viable to constantly switch the crew out and into the tank I need. In particular, I'm looking at the FT-17 all the way to the AMX-40. Would doing so incur any sort of exp penalties, aside from the penalty I already have with them being transferred from the FT-17?

It'll run up your bill and you won't be able to move them while the other tank is in battle. Also, you get toward three dudes at the upper tiers.

How would it run up the bill? Do you mean that I'll have to retrain them every him I switch tanks?

Well, unless you want them to suck at tanking.

If you don't retrain them, they operate at 50% regardless of current skill level 75% of current skill level for the same tank class, 50% of different tank class, and you gain experience slower, and don't gain any experience for the current tank until you do retrain themSauce. You'll lose 20% of their experience for every free retrain to the same tank class (40% for cross class) until you hit the 50% retrain floor. Paying silver cuts that loss in half (20k per person, 75% floor). Gold removes the loss, but it'll run you 200 G a person. That's a lot of gold for a few hundred-thousand experience.

Let's see: it costs 300 gold to move someone from 50% to 100%, which is about 95,484 exp sauce. That's a whole lot of gold to experience conversion.

There is, however, an exception: Premium tanks of the same nation and class as the source crew, which suffers no penalty. This means that you could use a Super Pershing to help train your Patton crew or a T14 to help train your T29 crew (never mind the crew size difference) or an IS-6 to train your KV-2 crew

[up]Long before I was able to buy a Tiger, crew for it was riding Lowe, so I solved at least new crew problem.

[up][up][up][up][up][up]Didn't fully understood the message - what exactly you plan to do with crews, but I always retrain my crew and move them up in line, like my 704 crew began from AT-1.

And funny occasion. Long time ago I got Steel Wall medal on SU-152, that was surprising for such lack or armour. But yesterday I got Steel Wall on SU-100 - was bombarded by 2 KV-1 and 2 Churchills (why I'm always the most wanted target?), who didn't managed to get reliable pen, so I escaped with 15 hp.

Steel Wall in the T-34-85, which is also infamous for its lack of armour. Turret's fairly bouncy, though.

There's also my first Steel Wall in the M3 Lee.

Is it odd that tier x holds no interest for me?

Got into embarrassing situation - when running into ARL V39 I mistook it's front for rear. Didn't died, but still.

I got my first Billote's on an M2 Light.

Watching the Chieftain's Hatch hands-on videos for the M26/M37. I'm actually a little disappointed at the length, they're fairly comprenhesive yes, but you wouldn't think he can point out all the cool bits in under thirty minutes.

Hmm... Well, that's a bummer. Moved over the 8.0 files, but WINE isn't doing its thing like it did back in 7.5.

I had the best loss ever yesterday. encounter in the map with a small town in the middle and the capture base between small hills. 1-hit-kills a heavy in their base(B1) and some others damaged. then, all of a sudden, there about 8 enemies left and none of them are attacking. I say"this is easy...too easy) and run for it. 2 seconds latter I'm hit an damaged while fleeeing the base and the other arty are destroyed. I hit the guy that hit me and killed him, then supported the others on my team. Then I was the last left and the enemy spread out to find me but for two who capped. Then I charged the base, 1hit killed a TD and lined up a shot on another, but he killed me.

As some of you may recall, I earlier posted about having some issues purchasing the camo I wanted for my SU-85B. In particular, it kept applying the wrong camo to my tank. I sent Wargaming.Net a message, but after a couple of pointless (and likely automated) responses, it looks like they had simply ignored my issue and moved on.

Now all of a sudden, I've also got one of the winter camos equipped on my tank as well in addition to the original camo I chose, and I'm pretty sure that I didn't pay for that one either! Either the glitch has become a bit useful in an unexpected way, or some Wargaming.Net moderator had pity on me and just gave me both. Sure is weird...

WOO! WOT is running again! The audio is running at about 2x speed, but I don't even care.

Haven't gotten to have much fun with physics, but the improved ramming is nice, and the 8.0 Pz4 is actually pretty good.

Picked up a T-25 and threw the 100% crew from my old VK3001(P) in there. So much gun depression you'd think it was an American tank.

A German vehicle with gun depression? I don't believe you!

-10 degrees, same as many American vehicles. Paradox is averted by the fact that the T-25 is Czech, not German.

Brother bought back his GW Panther (not working on the GWE right now, too expensive). So far, having a blast actually being able to shoot at a decent rate and that huge swing range.

I actually gave up on most arty a while back. Just wasn't having fun with it.

Same here. You're basically at the mercy of your teammates and whether or not they decide to protect you, and the randomness of the arty shells can become REALLY annoying. So much so that I ended up missing somewhere around 7 out of 10 shots on an open map in a prime position on Karelia. That, and repurchasing ammo for the arty gets expensive REALLY fast.

At weekend was stomped (literally pair of times) at Igromir expo. There were many games (even Halo 4, awaited by many), but whole expo was centred around Wargaming's stand, by the amount of people and attention. It was really insane, in fun way. When they were arking questions from crowd managed to ask 2. In the end got away with bonus codes for T-127+300, T2 LT+300, and eight M22+1000. Also, bag and shirt.

Also: Brit's lvl 9 and 10 HTs.

Every so often, I get a crash to desktop and can't get back into the match. This is more to do with WINE and my computer overheating, though. Still, it's doing a number on my performance.

[up]Eh, not that interested. It's mostly that I don't really care past tier 8 or so.

Yeah, and RU zone only. I'm interested what will happen when I enter 2 Locust codes. Thing is, there is also prem time and I want to dose it.
