FINALLY someone posts Forces. That was the first thing that came to mind when I read the title of this thread.

God, yes.

You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat!

Well on that subject, I'm rather fond of fish silent cruise.

Are the embeds really necessary?

The only thing I don't like about listening to OSTs is struggling to remember when that particular song played.

I don't really care most of the time... I have no clue when "fish silent cruise" plays. In fact the only song that I can remember the in-series use of is "Run Rabbit Junk" because that episode was fucking awesome. BOOM BOOM BOOM

It's when the Major gets really angry.

As the length of an internet discussion about anime music increases, the probability of this being brought up approaches one.

So I might as well do it myself.

Speaking of run rabbit junk...

Which episode was that? tongue

Oh, that episode.

Also, this. I recognize the song, but I can't place the episode.

I think we can all agree that GITS:SAC has a god tier OST. Also this

IIRC, I teared up at that episode.

For soundtrack as a whole, I found Hack:Sign to be one long aural delight.

They give birth astride of a grave, the light gleams for an instant, then it's night once more

I'm disappointed no one has mentioned Cowboy Bebop. I mean, granted, it is a bit too obvious, but dude.

I mean, just listen to this:

Damn.

I also always liked the Azumanga Daioh OST. It used to be my favorite anime OST until I found cooler stuff, but I still love the quirkiness of the instrumentation and the childlike innocence of the tracks. It's perfect for the show.

I have a hard time picking my favorite, but this is a pretty good track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kq3kMQljdSs

I also always liked this bit of BGM from The Big O, a show that I haven't actually seen all of yet:

...Oh wait, I can't actually find it. Dammit, You Tube.

Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.

The only thing I don't like about listening to OS Ts is struggling to remember when that particular song played.

Similarly, I don't know what a particular bit of the OST I like is called, which makes looking for it a pain in the ass.

"Namae Yonde" from Nanoha being a case in point.

Ah, that is quite annoying... I can't tell what any of Kara No Kyoukai's songs are called.

^Well, the openings and endings are quite easily found, but the instrumentals are just known by their numbers on you tunestube.

Thanks for posting "What Planet Is This". We played that in the football stands in high school, so it holds a lot of memories.
