Yeah, assuming that "immobility" is supposed to mean "cannot move any part of their body" rather than just "cannot move from one place to another with any of their limbs" (the latter is the more common meaning of the word, compared to the former).
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.So... Can someone please explain to me what's the Simpsons reference in this strip is supposed to be? I've asked in the comments twice, and nobody even bothered to address my question (except one guy who was also wondering).
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I think it might be a reference to these scenes.
Just a person. He/him.I'd like to know which strip is the source for No Biochemical Barriers's current article image, which is claimed to come from this webcomic.
PS: Wow, over three years without any activity here?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. It's a webcomic that I keep forgetting to check into.
I still read it but I'm not interested in troping it.
I got caught up yesterday. Storylines there tend to be hit or miss for me. So many anvils being dropped where I'm not really in agreement...
Our fantasy comic Gaia ( http://www.gaiacomic.com ) will soon come to an end.
On this occasion, we'll publish an anthology which collects all 950 comic pages in two massive A4 hardcover volumes. Additionally, we'll publish a supplementary book which contains a detailed making-of and beautiful artwork by over 50 artists on around 100 pages.
You can find the already fully funded Kickstarter campaign for the books (also available as pdfs) at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/novil/the-complete-gaia
The Sandra and Woo books are available again too. This time as hardcovers!
If you're not interested in the books, this may at least be a good opportunity to read the nearly complete comic on our website. Here's a brief introduction to the comic:
Gaia follows a group of graduates of a magic academy who try to save their friend Lilith, an enchanting and amazingly talented wizard, from execution after she was falsely accused of murder. On their quest, they cross paths with Viviana, a master thief who may be able to help them. But neither Lilith nor Viviana is quite what she seemed at first, and Ilias & Co. soon face dark forces that move kings like pawns on a chessboard.
Gaia was inspired by role playing games such as Baldur's Gate and Final Fantasy. The comic has been praised for its complex story, the original setting, which incorporates some science fiction elements, and the smart and charismatic female characters.
Sandra and Woo: a webcomic about food, love and other important stuffSo I just thought I'd mention that the strip has ended, with a frankly bizarre arc where Sandra and Zoey hook up with Cloud's approval.
My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger.Wow, I didn't realize that that was the actual end of the comic, but that's on me for not reading into the context. That was definitely a bizarre turn that it took and I was actually hoping that this new dynamic with Zoey and how it would affect her relationship with Cloud would get explored more, but if that's where Novil wants to end things, so be it.
Ah, okay; that makes more sense.

To be clear, Novil isn't sure if this "ending" really is the conclusion of Sandra and Woo; he's basically burned out and doesn't know where to take it, so he's taking an indefinite hiatus to mentally recharge and eventually figure out whether he wants to continue this comic, or move on to a new project. Apparently this isn't the first time he did this.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
That's actually pretty clever.
