"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984Isn't Dragonstone meant to be an island?
Heart of StoneYeah, but it's not so tiny that the castle's right on the beach.
I dunno. I just kinda assumed that most of the island was castle.
Other thing: I admit, I really didn't picture Casterly Rock looking like that, either.

Heart of StoneYeah, I always imagined the castle as pretty much the entire island.
But I suck at imagination.
It was a difficult delivery, now it's growing up mean and strong.Shouldn't that be Storm's End though?
Tealove is best pony.Pony Fanon IndexStorm's End is built on the end of a peninsula at the top of a cliff. Not on an island.
Heart of StoneYeah but since it's Baratheon it should show Storm's End. Since that's their seat.
Tealove is best pony.Pony Fanon IndexIt did show Storm's End.
It was a difficult delivery, now it's growing up mean and strong.Uh, the Baratheon castle is Storm's End. Dragonstone is the castle above the Targaryen Crest.
From left to right it's Winterfell, The Eyrie, Riverrun, Pyke, Casterly Rock, Storm's End, Highgarden, Sunspear and Dragonstone.

Tealove is best pony.Pony Fanon IndexDragonstone is actually a pretty big island, and people lived there for a long time. Sometimes it feels like all castle though, the way Westeros is the size of South America and feels a little bigger than Britain.
I'm looking at that graphic of the castles and it reminds me all over again how much I love that nothing in Westeros is flat, or generic. Nowhere is just 'a castle'. Anywhere with a name has detail, has life. It feels like it could actually exist, instead of toppling over in the wind like some other places.
He's the Doctor. He could be anywhere in time and space.Got 16/20 on the Arya test. Should have figured out a few others, but my memory for names isn't the greatest and it's hard to think when you're running low on time.
Also got referred to another test, guessing who says a quote, Varys or Littlefinger. I scored 25/28 on that one. Most of those were kinda easy though.

If you want any of my avatars, just Pm me I'd truly appreciate any avatar of a reptile sleeping in a Nice Hat Read Elmer Kelton booksI like the look of Highgarden. Well, I like the look of all of them really, but most of them I'd already come up with a mental image of.
I admit I'd pictured Dragonstone as all castle too, not that that's very feasible. But then, in a world where the Eyrie exists, the logistical feasibility of castles doesn't seem to be a huge concern.
So, as someone who only just started reading The Game Of Thrones, I think the series seem quite promising. They're very well written. I'm impressed with R.R.Martin's worldbuilding and how well he handles multiple POV. I was having some trouble familiarizing myself (remembering all the places' names, understanding what the hell the characters were talking about when referring to "the Night's Watch" or "the wildlings" or "the king beyond the Wall") but it gets progressively better.

The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them.Oooooo, another victim reader!
Yeah, it is a little addictive, admittedly...
The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them. How far are you? Who's your favorite character, so far?
Get out! Get out! Get out before you have to deal with the Matrimony of Crimson, the murderous neonates of the umbra, and the Duchess of Prickly things!
Trust me, in 4,800 pages, you will know what I mean.

Yes, because he needs ANOTHER excuse not to write anymore for this series.
