Also considering everyone knew Dhurke had been channeled "He was dead at the time" stops being an effective argument.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I mean, just because somebody is channeled, doesn't make them alive.
An unexpected new case: Turnabout Fanfic

Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pierAw man, apparently there's a funny bit in the fourth case where Uendo acts like a robot for a tiny bit. I wish I saw that.
It's when you have to suggest to the court that he has multiple personalities. Accusing him of being a robot is one of the wrong options.
You can always just use the chapter select feature to get to that approximate part.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I think I've never used Chapter Select. Didn't know you could choose a specific part of the case. o.o
... And that's called jazz! They always drop you off right in front of a very large amount of text. I guess it's good because it reminds you what was happening at that point, but it also makes it even less reliable than the mid-text saves.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. So through watching the first game again, I realized exactly who I want to be the next prosecutor: Manfred von Karma's granddaughter.
She was 7 when Edgeworth's trial for the murder of Hammond was going on, which was in 2016. Spirit of Justice takes place in the year 2028, 12 years later, making her the perfect age to be a prosecutor (considering Franziska became one at 18). And since both Phoenix's and Apollo's stories are mostly played out, there should be some more focus on Athena's past, who studied law in Europe, which just so happens to include Germany, the von Karma homeland.
Plus we're due for another female prosecutor, and it'd keep the series' tradition of having the prosecutors being tied to the attorneys.
I'm interested in seeing Franzy's elder sister.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Oh. Shit.
That'd be a good one too. Didn't even know she had one.
Was it confirmed to be a sister? I know Franziska has to have an older sibling for Manfred to have a 7 year old grandchild a year before Franziska turned 18, but was the gender of that sibling confirmed anywhere?
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.It was never said in-game, but Court Records seems to state female so maybe it was mentioned in an interview or something.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Better yet, a whole von Karma reunion. Bring in all the relatives.
Athena is actually the unknown von Karma granddaughter whose mother whisked her away from her unhinged perfectionist grandfather
...I said that as a joke but it is actually super plausible. Considering that they were born in the same exact year and Athena has undisclosed "relatives" in Europe. And since they made Apollo be literally born in Khura'in, a place that didn't exist until this new game, it wouldn't be an impossible thing to have happen.

I'd laugh at that. That actually works in the Japanese version too. IIRC there it's said she spent time in America, where the Von Karmas are from in the source material.
Franziska :How's my foolish niece doing?"
Pheonix: What.
Athena: Yeah boss. I'm a Von Karma... I didn't mention that earlier because I thought it might be slightly awkward. Damn me delaying the inevitable (Sad widget face)

The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. That'd be my dream ace attorney 7: Athena returns to Europe for one thing or another, ends up having to stay cuz the von Karmas are in legal trouble but they're all fucking prosecutors do they can't do it. The overarching theme would be forgiveness or family or something like that, we'd see the return of Franny, and Dual Destinies already hinted that the legal system is different there than in America/Japan, so there's room for a new gimmick there.
I doubt I cracked any sort of code on the next sequel, but damn if that wouldn't be neato.
I can't really see Metis being The Franz's elder sister, sorry.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! Not saying she is. Since there doesn't seem to be a source of the elder sibling's gender, it could easily be a male.
A problem with the Athena = Manfred's granddaughter theory (if we accept that Manfred wasn't lying about having a granddaughter) is that it requires Athena to have had a dog when she was young, which is hard to make fit with the other events of her childhood.
(This conversation is also giving me a bit of Fridge Sadness: Phoenix the dog is either old or dead by the events of Spirit of Justice.)
What's wrong with her having a dog?
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Well, yeah, it's not a perfect theory, but it's far from impossible.
Double-post because holy nutballs you guys.
Do any of you know what the pun for Inga's mother fucking full name is? Because I do and holy shite am I upset about it.
It's the best name in the series.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I've been late to the party when it comes with the names in this series before, but this? This? This??
like really guys it's insane a little.
That would have been neat. Though, keep in mind that earlier in the case she made a law saying that the defendant can be tried in absentia if they were an enemy of the state.
Speaking of Case 5, I found some cute fanart.◊
