Not only did we have Ulquiorra's backstory showing him as a VL, but the silhouette given for the VL was extremely similar to him. The Adjuchas silhouette was similar to Yammy, though not as much.

I think that 1 - 5 were VL at least. It's easy to overlook how strong Nnoitora is because we didn't know how Kenpachi's power worked, but after releasing his Zanpakuto, he was able to one-shot Kenpachi without the eyepatch. This iteration of Kenpachi had easily overpowered Tosen with his eyepatch on. It looked like Kenpachi was actually stronger all along, but now we know that he'd been received power ups when he came close to death, and Nnoitora brought one out of him.

On the other hand, that could still be an Adjuchas' strength. Ulquiorra mentioned that most Espada sacrificed high-speed regeneration to gain more power, but he retained his. So Adjuchas that abandon their regeneration could become close to a VL in power who doesn't do that.

Yammy's a weird case, because he doesn't have a human size in his release form and his power is variable. To fit the "most" comment, I'd just assume he's a VL as well.

Yammy's final form, presumably closest to how he looked as a Hollow, was humanoid, albeit fat, but on the other hand the example silhouette used for an Adjuchas was his.

It's not about being humanoid, it's about human size. Hitsugaya specifically states Vasto Lordes are about the size of humans (meaning Barragan's original hollow form fits as well).

Adjuchas are mentioned as being much smaller than Gillians, which Yammy doesn't really fit either.

All we know is that Yammy isn't a Gillian because Aaronierro was the only Gillian. Maybe Yammy was a Superchunky, whatever those actually are.

In retrospect, Aaroniero being the only Gillain but still be ranked higher than Yammy could have been a hint to Yammy's true status. I doubt it was but you never know.

@Saiga, I actually mentioned Ulquiorra's side story a couple of posts down and how that showed him as a Vasto Lorde.

@Ogodei, I wouldn't be surprised if Yoruichi was bisexual.

Yoruichi is bisexual, but only for other cats. Humans are gross.

IIRC Adjucas silhouette was 1-1 match for one of the schmucks down in the forest.

Said schmuck was likely designed by the anime team based off the silhouette then, because it wasn't in Kubo's notes provided to them.

At this point the only way I could feasibly see him lose is if he joined sides or another part of the Soul King appeared that can counter The Heart the Miracle.

Hachi could use his Kido on him.It works similar to Inoue's rejections doesn't it?
