Yeah, something is up with that. I don't think Kubo ever bothered explaining how he did that in any of those new databooks where he explained/naimed/described several of the until-then nameless techniques that were used by various characters.

It was in the databook. It's on Bleach wiki too.

Oni Headpoke (鬼デコピン, Oni Dekopin): a technique where a simple finger flick has enough physical force to send an opponent flying a considerable distance away, even with enough power to crash through multiple physical constructs.

@Cru Yeah, because he'd be more prepared for the second Itto Kaso and then take even less damage.

@Byaku I'm pretty sure we did see his Shikai. It's probably a constant release type like Zangetsu, since he can use Getsuga Tenshou and all.

Just being able to use getsuga doesnt mean it was a shikai does it? Besides IIRC his sword looked normal. Id put isshin about in between kyorakou and ukitake.

I don't know of any other Zanpakuto that can use its powers while sealed.

The only real argument against Isshin being in shikai all along in the generic appearance of his Zanpakutou. And considering that Kenpachi's shikai is in no way distinguishable from the sealed form, that's a pretty weak argument.

Kenpachi's is constantly unsealed. And, since Isshin's is apparently just like Ichigo's, theirs are both likely constantly unsealed too.

Isshin's is a different kind of sword than a typical sealed Zanpakuto anyway. It's a tachi or something.

Im guessing isshins zanpakutou doesnt look like a retarded meat cleaver because he can control his power. Didnt he even give a speech like that to fisher?

Maybe it just runs in the kurosaki family to have smaller releases. Ichigos bankai gets smaller too. Isshins bankai is a pocket knife im calling it.

Isshin's bankai is his fingernail.
