I been trying indev, it's neefty. And yes, deep floating maps are awesome. Just don't try taking any sand out of a floating island you're standing on..
And I assume no enemies spawn at all on Paradise maps? I wanna find a good balance of difficulty but any "normal" styled map I do I get swarmed by archer skeletons before I even have a single piece of pork, or it just doesn't spawn anything to fight at all.
Also also, it seems gold is not a good material for making pickaxes.
Gold is useless.
And enemies spawn on paradise maps, but only in the caves. Your best bet is to change the difficulty on a normal map to 'peaceful' for a day or two. It makes it so that no enemies spawn, and sheep and pigs are abundant.

I figured out a way to traverse downward on a floating map without dying, yay.
Those sheep are really staring to creep me out.

Once again, server is up. It's going to be fairly erratic for a bit, since I have finals coming up. And I'm going to need to test my new graphics card next week.

The server will likely be down all weekend, possibly longer. Computer troubles. Best case scenario, it'll be up by tomorrow night. Worst case scenario, it'll be up in a week or two on a fresh map because I might have to reformat my hard drive.

Good news and bad news. Bad news first, I'm going to have to wipe the drive. Good news is, thanks to Morven's advice, I should be able to keep all the data I need. The server may be up by tomorrow with everything intact.
The server may be back up tonight or tomorrow. Just setting the Monolith back up.
