"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."or that a nadeshiko is a rather boring thing to write unless you put actual skill into it?
As someone who has tried writing multiple females for multiple anime based stories, let me tell you that, yes, yamato nadeshikos are usually hard to write in an interesting way. Belldandy is particularly dull because she's supposed to be perfect at everything and basically overshadow any other female around by how idealized she is.
The birthrate has actualy been climbing for about a decade now, but it is way too complex of a situation to really cover here.
It has never been a worst in the world issue and partly over inflated by the media, seriously, our birthrate(1.41) is higher then South Korea(1.19), Hong Kong(1.12), and even Germany(1.38)... but the other part is the fact of how screwed over the country is.
Due to the working situation no men want to bother suporting a family, and women are suposed to be super submissive, no one is looking for a guy who can.
And even then, due to the way our womens health is set up, even if they are paired up.... no one would want to have kids because your health is a non concern.
Seriously though people, some times it would not hurt to google things before just buying the latest thing the news complains about, the topic your looking for in this case is "Total Fertility Rate" google will even give you a handy graph.

The world in general could use some slower birth and population growth rates. Seriously, fuck overpopulation. We're in a mad train towards mutual annihilation and destruction of our resources because everyone, even those who clearly aren't fit for the task, feel entitled to have as many children they won't raise properly as they want.
IOW, I don't think slower population growth rates are an actual problem to be ashamed or worried of.
Its a problem that messes up the econemy short term, but long term you are exactly right.
The whole issue could be resolved by being more accepting of immagrants, but that is not going to happen any time soon.
Well according to my AP Geo teacher its not that where overpopulated, we apparently have a lot of space its just were not spread out good. Like in China, populated spots are too clustered, theirs actually a lot of space to live they just need to spread out more.
So what would drive/force Japan to be more open to immigrants?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."So I got curious and googled in Japanese about tsundere being popular recently, and the first page of result was mostly threads from the last couple years about how tsundere are getting less popular. Or rather, the posters seem to mostly be saying that tsundere have become so over-saturated in anime and light novels that a lot of people are sick them. Several talked about things they didn't like about tsundere, like how their tsuntsun and deredere parts aren't handled right, and that they're too violent now.
So I googled for tsundere violence and found that apparently the whole trope of tsundere heroines always beating up the protagonist over misunderstandings and the like has become an issue among some fans. There seems to be a quite a number of people complaining that tsundere have gotten too violent recently, some even saying that they're aren't true tsundere at all, but some other type of character. There's also people who give complaints pretty similar to the sorts of the things people say in this thread.
Short of a massive cultural shift? Nothing.
Also I am curious to if that takes into acount unusable land like deserts and swamps, You cant build where there is no water, or where your likley to sink.... It would also need to take into acount fertile land and farming....
Global population is an interesting topic that might warrent its own thread.

we apparently have a lot of space its just were not spread out good.
Lots of that space isn't exactly fit for the best human living conditions, though.
Just spreading the people all over the planet so all ecosystems are equally screwed is no real solution.
The places where people don't live are, by and large, places where people shouldn't be living. I mean, high-density China has back-country in Xinjiang and Tibet, but would people want to go there?
I hear that over 70% of the Earth's surface is uninhabited. We should get on that, for a start.
What's precedent ever done for us?Another thing about tsunderes is that nowdays it seems like every character who displays any kind of aggressive reaction for any reason is a tsundere, or any character who's even somewhat reluctant to admits her own feelings. It's almost as bad as Mary Sue.
Check out my fanfiction!Well my main issue on tsunderes isn't that they're agressive/abusive (although that is one of them ) but rather because they're often the go-to main heroine for a lot of anime (along with the sweet princess type) to the point that they kinda get tiring.
I mean how about a dandere heroine, a (proper) meganekko heroine, a freckled heroine, or a hat girl heroine.
sigh...and here I am still waiting for a meganekko to be the main girl of a harem anime without the usual gimmicks (big boobs, glasses removal, paired with an mc that also wears glasses).

That is an issue. Just look at the recent harem anime. The main girl is always the same fucking type, theres no goddamn variety in leads.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Well, there was one last year with a snake for a butt...
She's still a violent shrew, though. >.>
Many tend to be focused on via popularity contests, the Japanese love Tsundere. No matter the gender actually, guy Tsundere are just as well liked in Shojo and Yaoi.
Okay, hear me out on this: all the complain about the ending to ERASED just shows how misogynist the anime community at large is.
What happened?
It also annoys me how the one time they made a meganekko the main love interest, said girl fell victim to over a dozen rape/ntr doujins..seriously japan I thought you saw glasses as moe..rant over.
Anyway I was thinking of writing a story putting a twist on the usual harem stuff.
The mc one day finds himself being surrounded by several beautiful, superpowered girls that all want him..but he tells them all to fuck off because he already has a girlfriend among the background characters.
So what do the girls do? Repeatedly try to take out the mc's girlfriend. While the mc with the help of his other friends and allies prevent them from doing so, eventually convincing and befriending some of those girls and getting them on their side.
I call it Harem wars: hero vs heroines!!
What do you think?
That is Ranma One Half also a late arc in Love Hina pulls that.

akane wasnt a background character, and they weren't even dating yet
So this is what Tumblr sounds like.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Whats the problem exactly?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
I don't know if this has much to do with what you're saying, but there's a bit of a social phenomenon in Japan where, yes, a lot men have completely lost interest in building families or getting married. They don't even date. Look up "herbivore men".
And well, I can't speak for the current popularity of the Yamato Nadeshiko in harem series atm, but in terms of your overall statement I'd argue that harems don't seem to be made to explore what it's actually like to be in a relationship, it's almost always just been about the buildup. I might guess that once the main character gets into one, all the other girls aren't available anymore (unless it's going for an actual harem ending), so the otaku can't project himself onto the main character as easily, but that's just baseless speculation on my part.
And well, it's not just harems really. Actually portraying what it's like to be in a relationship (and doing it well) is something most anime and manga don't really do.
