New comic◊. Forgath apparently has someone crushing on him... also, Idle is apparently Cursed with Awesome what with getting a free res every day (albeit at the penalty of dying for good if she doesn't die during the day). Given the lack of lines on her face after she comes back to life, they must be an indicator of her still having that extra life left.
I continue to be glad that I don't play in any games that Thunt DMs.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Forgath is a lucky dwarf.
I get the distinct impression that picking anything up or just touching anything comes with a spike of anxiety.
A developing romance.
I have to say... that was cleverly done with Idle. That last panel struck the heartstrings, but in a very understated manner. In some ways, it reminds me of the comic where Magneto finds out that his being brought back to life erased his Holocaust tattoos, taking away part of who he was.
Infodump on Klik prosthetics and apparently Bowst and Idle aren't dating, but are knocking boots. How's that for a curse? "No, really, unless you have sex with me, I'm really going to die!"
Panel 6: so that's what happened to the goblin whatshisnameitsbeenagesago.
The dungeon they got cursed in probably announced the nature of the curses to them, otherwise they would have died long ago.
That thing about the warped kliks becoming more and more powerful is definitely ominous. So an upcoming plot point is going to be seeing exactly how powerful Klik's evil spawn gets, huh?
Although, what kind of creature type is Idle anyway? She looks sort of like a goblin (+rabbit ears and nose), but I doubt Forgath would have let that pass without comment.
Scheduled update on December 4th◊, allegedly something that will startle us.
Something actually good will happen to someone? That doesn't have horrible repercussions or drawbacks?
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Nah, I bet it's related to or triggers or transfers some curses.
And some meta-humor!
Idle seems pretty bad at risk management, it seems. Or at least they assumed that finding someone to cast Remove Curse would be a lot easier than it turned out to be.
Fun fact: there's twenty possibilities on that wheel. Which makes sense.
So, how did that boop us on the nose exactly?
I'm confused too. I'm glad my question got answered, but this doesn't quite seem to match the description. (Even the previous strip about Bowst's curse was more of a surprise...)
It's just how Thunt announces new Goblins pages on Twitter. "Imma boop you on the nose with a new Goblins comic. Boop!"
This wheel is basically a Deck of Many Things lite. Which means that no, even though you might end up with something good, you should not use it even once.
Worldbuilding is fun, writing is a choreUnless you can cast Augury.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Didn't Forgath have a different adventuring party just a little while ago? Does he remember it at all? These constant shifts of tone and focus confuse the hell out of me.
Edit: Also, I would like to renew my objection to this RPG Mechanics 'Verse as existing basically to make life a living hell for adventurers. It is run by a sadistic, Killer GM.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"To be fair, this Killer GM is very bad at killing off any Player Character that's been on-screen. (Not that anyone who submits to this world can expect a life without danger)

Also, I think the point was to make the punchline of "being attracted to people with hair is weirder than being attracted to the same sex". Less about all individual characterization and more about social commentary.
