Does anyone remember what it looked like when Minmax last grabbed Oblivious, from the other side?
Were there ribbons?
There was just a hand, in a black glove.
I kind of like the idea of an anti-climax where Minmax just cuts everyone free because he has an Infinity+1 sword. Maybe someone says something about black, his armor becomes black, and then he calls for Oblivious?
I think they need to cover their eyes. All the corpses (aside from being disturbingly fresh) have their eyes open, but all the statutes underneath have blindfolds on.
Interesting observation.
You know, the closing eyes thing might have some traction: ultimate relaxation usually does mean "sleep-like". :/
Those other guys arent dead, they're attempting to escape.
So, like, has anyone been following the adventures of notWalter?
I didnt know they were happening, because no one put up a courtesy link.
Personally, I could think of better things to do with her.

Anyone who fails a will save against charm person when going up against a Pit Fiend isn't worth spending time with. For srs. If you're that worried about fumbling saves, prepare Mind Blank, don't just assume that you're fine.
Added spoilers as I'm sure some people haven't seen it yet :P

Question from someone who doesn't know D&D rules: Couldn't not-Walter simply smash the anti-teleporting runes in the room?
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."He could. Unless she also put some anti-evil enchantments over the runes. But if she were coating her dungeon in Protection from Evil spells, he wouldn't be able to cast anything at her through it.
I'm guessing the runes were drawn with angel blood (same as she dipped onto the portal) to prevent both porting out and him approaching them.

Leading to the question of how in the cosmos she obtained bags worth of angel blood??
Summon a deva, lock with anti-port runes and Protection from Good spells, drain blood while healing it as needed.
Hell, they might go along with it willingly. "I need you blood to trap demons." "Do you want it in gallons or liters?"
She slashed a Solar's wrists and then repeatedly cast Cure Serious Wounds on it.
Really, that's the part of this story that seems unreasonable? :P
And yeah, the whole "Protection from Evil" point is there; the point of irony is that, the same thing that keeps fiends from just running away when you summon them is the same thing that's supposed to keep people from falling victim to mental control. But they're two different versions of the spell: you'd have to cast the spell twice to get a protection from mental charms effect, and even then you'd have to be in the second circle!
Oh well. Sounds like a certain someone got a little too confident. In retrospect, casting Protection from Evil on one's self before interacting with fields should basically be "Dealing with Evil 101." It's beyond a rookie level mistake; the spell is available for virtually any first level spellcaster. To not use it is to basically be a failure as a fiendslayer.

And that, my children, is the story of how the Label Maker was conceived.
Man, Thunt's come up with some contrivances before, but this one takes the +2 cake.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers. It is a very convenient weakness. Also has to be one of the longest brick jokes ever.
Let's be honest here: It's repeatedly been made clear that it's a weird multiverse. There's the one where magic rings are more common, the one where goblins are Demonic Spiders, the one where everyone is a superintelligent Hulk-expy, a psion who is only vulnerable to a specific number, so on and so on. My problem here isn't the presence of such an absurd weakness, but the massive Expo Dump. I thought Thunt had gotten past these things.
I'm all for Expo Dump myself~
You are the wind keeping the spirit of Goblins alive here at TV Tropes The Wanderer. God bless you.
