OHHHH YES! MLP Comics! That's pretty much what I'd be requesting if I had the money to spare.
Hopefully it's the first arc, issues 1-4. I'd LOVE to see his take on how they started. Kind of hoping it's not the Reflections or Cowpony arcs...... those are.. bad just.. so bad. Not even in a "This is so freaking OOC and so contradicts established show canon" way (though that too) but just.. Reflections was a giant clusterfuck of bad, with an added helping of disappointment over waistitg a freaking AWESOME idea. Mirror Universe! They actually do a Mirror Universe arc... and waste the whole thing on Celestia wangsting about how she can't be with this super hot dream boat from the other universe. A rushed, makes no sense and poorly done 'romance' arc, that is basically just telling us over and over how these two are such perfect soul mates, without actually anything showing that beyond the wangst. And then ending with one giant mess of one "What the fuck just happened? Deus Ex Machina after another.
Cowponies, was two issues of Twilight just standing around giving bullshit reason after bullshit reason why she can't help deal with a bandit gang that is stealing from ponies, assaulting officers of the law, beating up her friends, and just being the most cliched wild west bandits you can get. But, she, despite being a freaking Princess, one of the four highest authority figures in all of Equestria. She can't do anything to help.... two issue of that, and then the solution in the end was... Twilight just whoops them in one page and tosses them in jail. Because apparently, damaging a historical landmark (that she had just declared to be one for the sake of screwing with them) is a crime worthy of her exerting her authority, but assault and battery, theft, banditry, extortion, trespassing, robbery, nope none of those are things she can do things about.
I men I REALLY want to see him tear those POS's apart, but I'd rather see him start with the first arc, see how it starts, and get a good story in to better show how those are the exception.

I should note that without any major preconceptions of the series (I don't think that Lewis is a fan, at any rate), he might not have as strong a reaction as you. He might find, say, the Reflections arc just okay, or maybe even like it.

TBF it's obvious even to s non fan why a mirror universe comic that only focused on a tertiary character is a bad idea.

Yeah, the issues with those two comics is that they are just horrible stories in the first place. How bad they screw over canon is just icing on the cake.
If it was a case of "Only bad due to continuity issues with the show" You could add Neigh Anything to the list. But that one... aside from the idiocy of the setting not making any sense in Equestria.. the story itself wasn't bad. Just... not a 'pony' story.
Reflections and The Good, The Bad, and the Pony are just plain bad stories in the first place. The romance in reflections is insipid and stupid, contained wholly there, and again is mostly Celestia wangsting in narration about how perfect Alt-Sombra was for her, and how they were soul mates, and how heartbreaking it was that she had to leave him. And the end was, again, one massive Deua ex Machina that made no sense. Apparently 'Evil" is actually some energy like substance that you can remove from a pony and that no 'evil' creature is ever really responsible for their own actions, no, it's all this 'evil' as some physical energy that made them murderous assholes.
Oh and the writer had to rub salt in the wounds, at the very end, was a little four page bonus mini, of the Evil-Mane 6 sitting around a table talking about how they have a feeling they just missed something. So yeah it was using a Mirror universe story, that focused only on a very poorly done romance between a secondary character, and an alt-version of a one shot villain. While ignoring all the other potential of the setting.

It's Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Skies (spoiled in case you wanted it to be a surprise). I'm actually interested in playing this game, so I'm looking forward to hearing what he has to say about it.
Anyway, the ending was rather ominous. Looking forward to seeing where this goes. Where was that thing they mentioned about 90's Kid coming back from the future from? What did he bring back?

It was from the Ravage 2099 review a couple years back. Basically, 90's Kid switched places with 2090's Kid for a month and when he came back, he brought back a vague poem with a numerical code.
