Greetings. This is the thread for requesting assistance with recovering a TV Tropes account for which you have forgotten the password.
Before posting here, please note that Get Known has a comprehensive set of instructions for managing your account. To summarize, password resets are limited as follows:
- If you have an associated email address, use the Lost Password link on the login screen to request a reset email. If that doesn't work, post here.
- If you do not have an associated email address but you are still logged in, you can register an email address and use it for recovering your password.
- If you do not have an associated email address, and have not used your previous account since September 18, 2013, we cannot verify your ownership for technical reasons.
- To verify ownership without an email address, and if you have used your previous account recently, you should be logged in on the same computer and/or Internet connection that you most recently edited or posted from.
- It is not currently possible for moderators to reset your password or change your registered email address. As a last resort, you may use our contact form
to send a message to "The Staff".

This thread makes me glad that my bizarre memory capabilities mean that I've only forgotten a password once.
Though, the password on my old account doesn't work any more for some reason... good thing I don't need it.

I got the password reset a while back in case I needed it, but then it stopped working again (either because I misremembered what I changed it to, or because I made a typo or something). It's not a big deal, so I haven't bothered Fast Eddie with it.
