This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

There are many other sites dedicated to documenting troping as well. I can easily pack my bags and leave, due to multiple articles being locked and entire pieces of media having no page due to petty political correctness. I am hostile to everyone on here. At least I didn't D Do S the site from orbit. Some people need to man up and stop whining about political correctness. If TV Tropes wants to be a good site, we need to oppose political correctness and prevent the entire site from turning into a hugbox. If needed, we should put tropes about sex behind an age wall.
You, sir, are the only person whining about political correctness. The rest of the thread is far more worried that none of our users know what a meme is. Nor do they understand how to write an example for one with proper context.

Unfortunately, the wiki is so large that it is impossible to make everyone take a test on every trope before they edit. Instead all we can do is clean up the messes when they occur. When a trope reaches near 100% misuse, the best thing we can do for the wiki is to burn it down. Perhaps in the future when this page has faded from memory, someone can try the concept again. Hopefully with better results.

Dude, don't pretend that you're operating in good faith here. You invoked ED. That alone marks you as a troll, and a hypocritical one because ED was all over our "pervy" content. I think you operate under the misconception that we want tropes about people lusting over fictional characters. If you think these "other troping sites" will welcome the content, then by all means go there. Enjoy yourself; bring lots of tissues. We'll be just fine.

Former troll, I quit the site. EDF now means Earth Defense Force. I'll tell you this. Nowadays, it is way too easy to troll people, which makes it pointless. Then again, most of my trolling can easily go under The Gadfly, due to it mainly being me ribbing on the others in a joking manner. Weirdly enough, I was the token good teammate, due to being quite friendly and not being malicious as the other users, who are bordering on Chaotic Evil on default.
"Invoking ED" here refers to your claims that our thread regarding the future of Memetic Sex God was indicative of the sort of attitude that got us an ED page.

Sorry for the double post. The only reason they liked the pervy content is because, well, it's self-explanatory. Also, I don't operate that way. I see TV Tropes as a site for resources and information. It only saddens me that people do not understand some of the information or the lack of information on certain subjects. It also saddens me that I had to be hostile to everyone due to what I believe in.

Rearranging articles for no reason, sending people spurious edit issue notifications, ignoring our responses to your editing suspension. What do you have to offer that is worth the risk of letting you edit, given what you've done so far?

The apology is appreciated, but are we going to have to deal with this again the next time you see something about a game that triggers your "butthurt" reflex? That sort of language may fly on Tumblr or wherever, but here we are a bit twitchy about it.

I don't get any sense that you understand that you are the one responsible for editing the wiki appropriately; that ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for breaking them. We have no way of knowing if you are the author of that fic; all we see is you rabidly defending your mistakes.
Even if we get past that problem, I'd like you to run some of your proposed wiki edits through our Help with English thread so we can make sure that you're able to meet our quality standards.

I promise you, the next time I get frustrated over anything, this will not be the website I come to. I apologize for irrationally targeting the mods with that comment. I forgot I wrote it when making the original appeal post and I think it deserves its own apology. For any other edit comment I might have wrote degrading anybody in that time, again, I'm sorry. I give you my word that you will not have anymore problems with me, and I ask again for the privilege to edit.
