This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Hello. Crime:I have posted some bad suggestions to tropes that I haven't cleaned up for months. I don't really know if I have done something other than that. I haven't written about porn or hate?
My editing privileges has been suspended but all I wanted to do was to write in the discussion of existing tropes. Why can't you message. If my trope suggestions are so bad, why couldnt you at least let me write in the existing discussions of existing tropes. I have kind of given up on trying to submit new Tropes, I just want to write in the forum, ask questions and particularly write in the discussions of various existing tropes.

klas.wullt: The main problem is your writing. Your English is very poor, and your contributions to YKTTW read like you're submitting to an essay writing contest rather than proposing tropes. I don't have a problem with letting you contribute to discussion threads for wiki articles... it's kind of pointless but doesn't do any harm. But I can't let you contribute to YKTTW given these issues.

Any reason for editing suspension? Yes I know I was editing a huge amount of articles but that in itself wasn't stated to be a reason for suspension anywhere within that article.
I've been suspended from making posts...I guess it was because I made threads venting my complaints. I'm sorry, I won't do it again.

~Septimus Heap I thought that might be it. I did go back and crosswick some things (not quite sure what that means, but I assume it's placing tropes on my page to the trope's main page), but not everything. You see, I do most of my troping through mobile web because, for reasons too awkward to explain, I don't have home internet and use a library's Wi Fi, which has a time limit and I only get to go, at most a few times a week. Some things are difficult, if not impossible to do on mobile so my goal was to get the pages finished as fast as possible. Had I known your P Ms were warnings (I thought they were just part of the procedure at first), I would have done more.
As far as the Zero Context Examples go, I went back and edited most of them and was actually trying to go back and do more, but I couldn't because I was suspended. I realize what I've done wrong and, assuming I get my editing privileges back, will do my best to fix it and avoid it in the future. I shouldn't have to make that many pages at one time again and can spend more time polishing them up one at a time.

~thecarolinabull01: Yes, Crosswicking is the process of adding examples to both the trope and the work article. It's part of generating the necessary Wiki Magic for articles to thrive. Since it seems as if you understand it now, we'll release the suspension.
~Bk-notburgerking: What I want to make sure we get across is that it's fine to edit and correct examples, but not to treat the articles like a forum thread or discussion. We'll release your suspension as long as you work to understand this rule.
~Zany Dragon: It seems that you've been told several times that you're messing around with images in violation of our policies: specifically, using images to pimp works you like and changing images without discussion. The suspension is necessary to stop this behavior so people don't have to run around cleaning up after you. Whether you get to edit again is based on whether you demonstrate an understanding of the issue and a willingness to fix it. Based on your posts in this thread, I'm not hopeful.
I've been suspended for a couple of weeks now, as I aparently overdid it a little (with good intentions, as I can assure you). I'm now here to ask if I will be unsuspended any time soon.

We encourage new editors to jump in, but if you cause problems by doing so, we have to take action. In this case, you started adding a bunch of text to gun-related articles that was not relevant and did not contain any formatting markup. Something random with weasels and birds
Forgive me for my editing sprees. Most of the time this sorta has to happen to me, since I've done a lot worse in the past....
And yes, I would like many of the 321 pages of people here like to appeal my suspension, though chances are I doubt it cause I'm pushing chances all the time having people clean up after me. =__=;
How's the best way I can have people fix up my edits as I go along without them being reverted? Cause sometimes of course, like someone from Street Fighter wiki says, I have trouble "defluffing and being brief". :P

That would be it, yes. The problem is that users find something they don't like and then shoehorn it into every single trope that's even vaguely related without bothering to consider the criteria.
