This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Question - is Septimus Heap a moderator? Because the What to Do If You Are Suspended page, at the bottom says he is not one. One of the reasons I shrugged off the notices was because he was not a moderator as far as I knew, so I had no idea it would/could be taken this far.
I'm not debating the point - as I said point is taken, I will change my ways. You're the mods. It's just that I didn't know I was actually under moderator overview from that troper as opposed to just any old troper private messaging me with every page I created, which was what I assumed.

Septimus isn't a full moderator, but he does have some of our tools. We used to have an "engineer" position which had the same capabilities, so he can be considered as such and any comments/instructions from him regarding wiki maintenance issues should be treated as having moderator authority.

Ok let me try this again. I would like to appeal my suspension of editing. I think the reason I was suspended to begin with was because of my lack of indexing when making subpages and pages a like. While I won't pretend that my actions were ok, I will at least explain them. For starters I assumed that indexing wasn't that big a deal. From what I've seen people could always get to my created subpages and edit. Plus, the messages I got implied that indexing was optional, not a requirement. It didn't help that I found the indexing to be incredibly complex, seriously it's gigantic! I couldn't find the proper index link and what not. So the lack of urgency, mixed together with the fact that people could easily find my subpages, and the fact that I couldn't work with indexing, lead to me not doing it.
However, with the advent of me finding out that Indexing is much more important than it seems, (Apparently, the linking gets all messed up when a subpage isn't indexed and someone else has to do it) I have come to realize how important and reckless my actions truly were. I honestly didn't know that this was that big a deal.
So, if you could, I would very much appreciate a second chance.
O.K., apparently I've been suspended from editing and I am literally clueless as to what I've done wrong. So could someone please tell, so that I can properly apologise.

Well, the last private messages I received informed me that I had been improperly using the Example Indentations. But since then I've been actively trying to stick to the format the guidelines show, so unless there's one that I've missed, I'm really not sure what I've done. Unless this is about something else.
I'm sorry about how I do not index pages because I am just new here and I can't really understand some instructions in this wiki. And about my editing, it's just because I want to provide more comprehensive information about many things. Hope the admins understand this.
