Plenty of people like having their hair ruffled, or vice-versa. For some, it is a specific calming sensory thing, as Daft mentioned; for others, it's an affectionate thing with varying implications.
To my own mind, most things are only uncomfortable if you make them uncomfortable.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Getting your hair ruffled has a biological explanation, as it causes the release of dopamine or endorphins or something like that.
Not sure I get the rubbing of hair, though.
Because making someone else happy makes you happy, for one thing.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Dude I love the feeling of hair it's so soft and fluffy
I could play with someone's hair for days
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderI love playing with hair and I love my hair being played with.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdI just prefer something fluffy lying beside me.
Not mutually exclusive (cf. partner with soft hair).
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Dunno if I've linked this here yet but here's a charming little collection of illustrations by a Japanese artist who eventually collects them all in a children's book, I think? Not entirely sure.
I'm bringing it up partly to ask the question: what kind of eyes do you all prefer on anthro characters? More animal like, or more human? I've got a friend that adores caprid eyes, but I hear a lot of people find them unsettling. I recall in Zootopia some of the caprid characters and some didn't, with the Breaking Bad sheep rocking them in what was probably an attempt to make them more alien.
Now on heliosKAISER's new show BEING a GIFT on the Net:
I posted a mean ass tweet while having Rule 34 Knuckles as a avatar.

You gotta start somewhere.also remember Da Rules about such content being posted here.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"@Hashil: I guess it depends on the style in question, but overall, I definitely prefer less sclera and more pupil by default, whether more naturalistic or stylised, but with a lean towards the naturalistic. Take those drawings there: The goat-child's eyes are more naturalistic, the deer-child's more iconic and simple, but neither really show much white.
While we're on the topic of said drawings: My god, those are astoundingly cute and make me feel so warm and fuzzy just looking at them. And they feel so lively: I can imagine these characters bounding about, hear their wee voices. Truly lovely.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.I don't know about goat like eyes. But I generally prefer more animal like eyes. Horses' eyes are a little creepy, what with being rectangular slits, and all black rodent eyes are a little too alien. Those two are better choices for the villain of a piece.
Goat eyes are the cutest fucking thing
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderTo add to that, the detail background work is ridiculous. Each of those stills must have taken quite a while to draw.
Now I'm reminded of this one anime background artist who has worked with Ghibli and paints trees in a very particular way. He's worked on hundreds of shows, but his style is so intensely distinctive that you can immediately tell that he worked on something. And sometimes it clashes in these really strange ways with the overly slick designs of the characters in modern shows, which feel at once more detailed and completely outclassed.
I wish I could remember his name. There's a documentary either out or coming out about him. He works as a landscape painter now.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Guess this would be a good place to show off my newly-made fursona. Some guys over on Discord put him together. He's mainly a Zootopia OC, but works as a general-purpose fursona too.
Is he infatuated by a cat with a paint streak on them?
Aw that's cool! He's cute.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdNo cats, but that little air freshener around his neck is certainly intentional. He's a cheeky little bastard, just like me.
I didn't even notice he had an air freshner!
The design is simple but nice.
If I had a fursona it would probably be a catbunny mix. Pretty much like Klonoa.
Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothIf I had a fursona, it would look like an ordinary changeling from MLP.
I do appreciate the simpler fursonas. As long as it accurately represents you, it doesn't matter how much you add to it. For example, I usually prefer plain color shirts over more elaborate designs, which is why I picked the solid yellow.
the texture of hair and playing with hair brings me comfort. same with fur. it's an autism thing for me, it calms me.
