Drama? I just came for the art more so the anything else....
Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothWhen good artists go bad. Or in this case, when good artists are not good people. But I never followed her, so I know nothing.
So I looked up what you guys were hinting at and well....
...Oh dammit. Y'know I just liked the art and nothing more. Never knew of any of drama issues involved. I am not even sure what to believe in that situation as it sounds like a personal quarrel that spread to the interwebz.
Now I am not sure whether it's right to be a fan of this art style she created or not....
Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothWithout going into detail, some of it (particularly some of the sexual stuff, which I think they've finally learned to keep separate from their sfw content) has some merit, but a lot of it has been and still occasionally is severely blown out of proportion. I was part of PMD-e where the majority of those complaints were taken, and I can say that most of that because its user/fanbase had a lot of tweens and teens that wanted things their way and like anyone in charge they became a target for their hate, justified and otherwise.

I took the plunge and looked at the complaints, and while some of it is certainly alarming, a lot of it comes off as grudge-based snarling or guilt by association, particularly in light of what you've said. There is also, as ever, this constant undercurrent of unfortunate implications in how these things are phrased, but I'd rather not discuss this further.
I like GP's art. They probably have some issues, but that doesn't make them Furry Artist Satan. That's Jay Naylor.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Have any of you guys heard of Heartthrob Cafe? That's pretty furry, if a bit unconventionally so?
Insert something witty that makes me better than all of you, here.I tried it. It's kind of corny and the writing's not so good, but Rootie's character designs are pretty charming so it's alright.
I have not heard of this before...
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdIt's a furry-ish visual novel from the artist iRootie. You find out more about it here.
I like the designs
Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothAs do I.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdtoo much... "kawaii desu" for me
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"I don't think I'd like that style.
I'm pretty adaptable to most styles, as an artist myself, and find it interesting to see others' styles.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdI don't think it looks *that* weeby, art-wise, but too each their own. It looks pleasant enough.
Now I'm thinking about aesthetics. I generally like art styles with a bit of a softer edge when it comes to more detailed subjects, but more to the point, I dislike the glossiness of a lot of more detailed furry art and how it interacts with the style on display, particularly more "comic book" ones, if you know what I mean? There's this really realistic detail on characters who are strongly anthropomorphised in this very particular not-quite-cartoony way, and then it's all very shiny—as in a modern comic book. I would much rather have something soft and fluid, or sharp and sketchy, or even just less relentlessly... Default Mainstream American.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.I cannot tell what any of that says.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdI can't either but the implication is that with all the occulus's and VR hard and software we've got eventually we're gonna get games like that picture.
Oh..
I think that's cool.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkd... An interactive feelie...
weird.
And now I can't get it out of my mind. Yes. This product will have a market.
For all those who lack a significant other to ruffle affectionately, science has the answers.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.More than likely they'll make some creepy doll heads first with realistic wigs of fake human hair. For a much bigger but also very specific market.
I don't get it. Why would you want to pet a human head?
I suspect that this device will have the much larger audience. The device could be packaged with the next round of virtual pet simulators.
I only got the edge of the whole blast zone, wasn't particularly invested in it but it had the feel of A Big Deal. Just there as a sort of "be aware that this exists" kinda thing.
