My writing is strictly professional. I couldn't publish any of my literary work on an art site because I intend to rely on it as a career.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerFA is run by a man who routinely defends accused rapists, harassers and abusers, especially if they're popular or prominent members of the community, polices offsite issues among users, and is generally pretty disagreeable.
The site itself is also hellah out of date and just not very good in general, but it's the go to place for furry porn so people stick around anyway despite there being considerably better alternatives. Weasyl's pretty great from what I seen of it, and IB, while it's interface and a lot of the content isn't my thing, is run by a pretty swell guy.
I think I'm probably just gonna make Sofurry and Weasyl the main sites I browse, and the sites I'll upload stuff to if I ever actually decide to make things. I don't like the majority of Inkbunny's content (Not a big fan of cub, which seems to be what Inkbunny largely is), and Furaffinity just seems to have a lot of drama surrounding it (Although I'll still probably use it once in a while because some artists I like only ever post there.)
Everyone seems to like Weasyl, though, and I haven't heard anything really bad about Sofurry.

Yeah, Weasyl is the better one to stick with if you have to decide between it and FA. It's the only place (next to deviantART) I upload stuff to anymore in terms of artsides. I have Tumblr profiles too, but that one doesn't really count as an artside, imo.
Okay real talk here, I have vague plans to branch out into porn artwork in the future and I want to have it all nicely presented with a cohesive theme and gallery layout that I can modify at least a bit to fit the idea I'm going for, and I want to put it into an environment where people are receptive for ... some unusual kinks, let's just say. Maybe even by furry standards.
I had weasyl recommended to me by Dapper Owl, but when I visited it and scrolled through the stuff, it seemed so innocent and all. Though since then I found out that I have to be logged into FA to see all the mature stuff, so maybe it's just that.
Yeah, you have to be logged into FA and Weasyl to see everything that's rated Mature and higher.
What is it you're trying to upload? I can't really think of any content that's all that taboo among furries as a whole. Everyone has their line to draw of course, but, Furaffinity's cub, or Shota/Lolicon blanket ban aside, that's mostly up to the individual.
Well, I'm not gonna state that publically, but it's not that at least! I could PM you if you want to know?
Though after signing up to Weasyl, I can confirm that, uh, it's not an inappropriate environment for my content at least! I was told that it's a friendlier community than FA, too, not to mention the the whole controversy about the site admins and whatnot. Plus, I want to make my mascot a Furret, so putting it on Weasyl just seems fitting. *sage nod*
Consider me curious! I've seen some fairly out there shit (literally and figuratively) while browsing FA and Pixiv for furry and kemono stuff. Willing to bet it's nothing that wild in the grand scheme of things.
It always irks me when ms-painted fetish pictures are the top results for something or other, and they almost always are. I can respect people with fetishes, but yeesh, why are the multitude that aren't even done well so unavoidably popular?
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerYou take what you can get, I guess!
My standards are very high, but I have to admit that if something particularly strikes a nerve on a conceptual level, I'm willing to be far more forgiving of a less solid style. (Not nearly to MS Paint levels, though. If the picture is that bad, I'm better off just keeping the idea in mind and picturing my own scene.)
Regarding Dragoneer, there's really so much incredibly stupid bullshit going on that makes the National Enquirer look as credible as the NY Times in comparison, and drama queen attention whoring only means that any "signal" out there will be drowned out in noise.
FA isn't perfect, no, and like just about every other furry out there (or so it seems) Dragoneer can be a bit of a dick at times, but he's not the Antichrist, nor while it isn't perfect is FA the complete shit its detractors paint it as.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpI've browsed FA a couple times and all I've seen it as is "furry Deviantart". I've never really seen any of the drama or other stuff that people complain about.
Then again, I'm not an artist and I only have an account to lurk, so that's probably why.
I'm sorry if I'm getting dangerously close to "talking about my fetishes" territory here, but can I just take a moment to rant about the fact that on Weasyl and Furaffinity the Gender Bender trope goes by, like, 10 different names?
'Cause that makes it really hard and annoying to search for art and stories of it(and it's already fairly difficult to find anything good), and I really can't help but feel that I shouldn't have to type a sentence worth of text into the search box and still worry that I missed or am unaware of a tag and that I won't be seeing all the content I want. If there's one thing Sofurry's won brownie points with me on so far, it's that there's only 1 tag for that on there, not, like, 10 different ones. Not sure if anyone can relate, but just needed to rant for a minute there.

-mostly gets furry art through a booru, so dupe tags are aliased-
Same thing we do too. Long live the booru's!
Devypu's~ Big Pony :3Have you ever looked at a random given fictional creature and thought, "I wonder if someone's made an anthro of that yet"?
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerOddly, I seem to find more antrho characters turned human than the other way around.
I'm personally surprised there's nothing of Hewdraw or Twinbellows yet, considering how big the fanbase of that game is.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI still want a (good) Bloody Roar.
I still hate that Furry MP3 hypnotism banner ad that won't go away on FA.
You know the one. The one with the naked hypermuscle Uncanny Valley lion who looks like he's in a perpetual orgasm.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. OH MY GOD IT'S FINALLY (maybe) HAPPENING. I am beyond excited.

I don't do art - I know I'm terrible and don't really care to get better. I may try writing some time, maybe, if I ever find the motivation (Though it would probably be fairly mediocre, if I'm honest.)
