I think this is the first time I've ever despawned someone in the middle of a fight...

-Samus despawns-

-Jecht spawns at the North Plaza-

"Today I'm feeling good, an' I'm up for a challenge."

Jecht is a purely melee characters, fighting with Good Old Fisticuffs, a Barehanded Blade Block in Jecht Block, Eye Beams (Jecht Beam, no kidding!), Colony Drop-slash-Death from Above Ultimate Jecht Shot, Facepalm of Doom in Triumphant Grasp, and finally a Limit Break in (9999-gigaton spoilers for FFX) Braska's Final Aeon...whew.

-after what could have been an hour of lumbering, Pickle Inspector finally makes it to North Plaza and notices Jecht-

GNYAAAAAARGH.

-PI begins to shuffle towards Jecht to clobber his face in-

-Dave Strider pops in this bitch-

-north plaza-

-skills-

• Swordsmanship

• Short Range teleportation using stable timeloops.

He's a pair of floating pants, can fire pants beams (which gives people tall pants), cannot be cut or otherwise shredded, he's basically a pair of legs sans feet.

-pulls out his SHITTY NINJA SWORD and blocks-

-his sword now has a pair of tall pants sitting on them-

-charges at Dave like a pair of pants-

Ok fucker if that's how it is then prepare for a beatdown.

-charges at the pants PANTS SWORD swining-

-chaaaaarges, then flips over and goes for a jumping kick-

-gets kicked and falls down-

-gets up-

Okay that was just warm up charge. I'm loose now mother fucker Prepare to get you poorly sewn as handed to you on a silver pllater. Oh yeah is going down dude going down like a pair of loose fitting gym shorts.

-flies at Dave to kick him again-

-you were about to continure you're rant when OH SHIT those pants did not just fly at you mid rant no one flies at you mid rant....except for that one guy that did but doesn;t even matter now because this guy just ruined a perfectly good string of similes you cannot forgive him do you know how hard tohse are? fuck this guy-

-you pull out caledscratch and swing at him-

-impacts with Caledscratch....... and gets hit away into a wall-

HURGH! GUH...

-falls off it like a limp pair of pants-

Jam has to go for a bit.

-Jecht watches Archibald fights-

"...a floating, talking pair of pants who can fight? Heh, thought I've seen all the crazy stuff in my Blitzball career...whatever!"

-Jecht rushes towards Archibald to deliver a Jecht Rush-

-gets up and shakes his waist-

Nngh... huh? Another one!

-fires a pants beam at Jecht-

-Jecht dodges the pants beam by jumping upwards, then uses Triumphant Grasp-

"Ha! Get lost!"

-jumps back against the wall and jumps off it to avoid it-

No! You!

-another pants beam (because it seems to be his only long range attack)-

-Jecht Blocks the beam, then counters with Jecht Blade-

"Come on, come on, come on, come on!...One more!"

-whatever Jecht blocked with now has a pair of tall pants on them (if it was with arm or something he's wearing tall pants now)-

-attempts to backstep from this-

Before I respond with a follow-up attack, do these tall pants pose a handicap/has a damaging effect, or is it purely an aesthetic effect of the ray?

Literally, it's just a pants beam. It makes you wear tall pants and that's it. (And I guess maybe a little shove when it hits?)
