Who would win? Your favorite manga characters face off!

Since this is getting really popular with the Naruto and Bleach threads, I decided this should have it own thread!

Basically, you try to match up two of your favorite anime or manga characters and see who would win in a fight. Now LETS GET READY TO RUMBLLLLLEEEEEE!!!!!!

• Edward Elric (with Northern automail) vs. Gray.

I'm pretty sure I've posted this all over the place, but:

• Ciel vs Father Alexander Anderson.
• Similarly, Arcueid vs. Alucard.

Actually, let's just say the cast of Tsukihime vs the cast of Hellsing.

@silver: Ed. With northern automail he can't be frozen properly, and he can turn ice into things, so Gray would just be giving him fuel.

@zeroplusalpha: Hellsing wins, no contest. You can't beat something if you can't kill it and Alucard is pretty much unkillable, even moreso now.

^^^^ Pretty much unkillable, or actually unkillable? Very important difference to make in Tsukihime. I should probably go watch Hellsing (before I form an opinion) though...

You can't beat something if you can't kill it and Alucard is pretty much unkillable, even moreso now.

You can't really kill Arcueid, either. Well, not without "killing" the earth.

Pretty important difference in the whole damn Nasuverse.

Might as well do it:

Nanoha vs. Gilgamesh.

Let the inevitable Nanoha/Nasuverse crossovers start raining.

Well, since he absorbed Schrodinger, yes, he is unkillable. No loopholes or exceptions. And I'm willing to bet Alucard would be more than willing to destroy the Earth in that situation. He'd be having too much fun to care.

Well, if we're going by Nasuverse rules as a whole, there is no such thing as "un-killable".

Just depends on whether or not your brain breaks in the process of "comprehending" the conceptual death of something which, on the surface, shouldn't have one.

Theoretically, of course.

There are always exceptions to just about every metaphysical "law" in the Nasuverse.

Ah yes...but "destruction" and "kill" are two separate concepts. You can only kill Arcueid if you destroy the concept of her existence, which is tied to that of the earth. If you blow the world up (or something similar), that concept is still intact, it's just not expressed.

Schrodinger's power is subverting the very same universal laws to not only perpetually revive himself, but to be anywhere at any time. He very literally bends whatever silly natural laws are in his way. Now imagine Alucard with that kind of power.

That power does come with a weakness though. If he absorbs any soul (which happens when he drinks blood) he ceases to exist until he finds a way of getting rid of the soul he absorbed.

Meaning he just kills it and resumes or settles for a draw. Besides, he can choose not to drink their blood.

Goku vs Anyone. Goku will probably win.

Here's an idea:

Ryougi Shiki's third personality. vs Haruhi.

In essence, My God-Fu is stronger than yours. Though I kinda feel Shiki just wouldn't care enough to actually do anything.
