The server regions aren't actually region locked so it's possible in theory to play on other servers. The Euro servers probably have a higher degree of multi-lingual groups and Tonberry in the JP group is the unofficial English server for people from Australia and other English-speakers in the SE Asia/Pacific/Oceania region. The NA region would probably see more use of the auto-translator if the game were actually translated into Spanish and/or Portuguese; at most I've seen the occasional French Canadians.

I know plenty of people from outside the EU on the server I'm on, and many of them are multilingual, but maybe that's mainly an EU thing. I seem to get mostly EU players through Duty Finder though, judging by the amount of French and German players I see. Or at least players how have that marked as their language.

My FC leader and a lot of their friends are from Mexico, and since they're tri-lingual we had a lot of Japanese players in our FC, too. Relatively, anyway.

I play with a number of people from the UK, at least one German and a couple Nordic people that come and go (all English-speaking), but in large part that's because our FC is built around being fans of our FC leader who is a US-based Twitch streamer.

They have servers for Japan, US, and Europe for minimal latency for people of those regions.

Technicaly the EU servers are still located in the same data center as the NA ones for about another week.

I've had very few lag problems since switching from the PS 3 to PS 4 version of the game. There's the occasional spike, and I had some stutter for a while some time ago, but never anything disastrous. Any major problems have been due to problems with my router rather than the game itself. I'm interested in seeing if there's any difference after the datacentre moves.

@Hash: Ahhh wow I didn't know that, that's actually pretty amazing! Sorry if I sounded insensitive or something like that, never meant anything by it.

I'm not very sure about my FC, but I don't know how many european players i've been playing with... I hope a lot! It's always good to have so many players come together despite regional differences and the like. I think its pretty neat.

Oh and I got almost all of the lvl 45 BLM pieces, and along with the coliseum top I look like a weird dominatrix. I also did a quest where I had to protect a Miqo'te from perverts and she proceeded to call me attractive.

While I was in said dom gear.

OH and I forgot to mention I was a female lalafell.

FFXIV IS GREAT

[up]That sounds about right.

Probably the best part about the Vanu slacker was how he kept weaseling out more chances.

"Ok, I guess I'll have to tell your wife where I found-" "OK, JUST ONE MORE CHANCE"

I've recently partnered up with a Black Mage to run undersized dungeons, and we've been doing a surprisingly good job in the hard modes. Copperbell Mines, Hullbreaker Isle, and Lost City of Ampador were all cleared. Almost cleared Brayflax's Longstop, but the bombs are a bit too much for my friend to survive, and I don't have the firepower to take down the big bomb at the end.

If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.

That reminds me, I want to run an unsynched Aurum Vale with four Black Mages. I think that could be super fun.

[up][up]A FF lore Youtuber i sub to has been doing them solo as a 60 DRG; it took him multiple times to dodge the bombs enough to not die but he was able to kill the boss before the big bomb comes down. He did have to make his clear spot in the edge which meant he was getting hit by the gobtank doing circles around there but he did eventually get past it.

I'm trying to supress my desire to level up one more time for tonight, but two levels aren't bad since i'v been leveling up like crazy when i first got back on. LVL 14 to LVL 47 in a total of 4 - 5 days! I've been doing five levels per day, so now I only have three more levels to go. ♥︎

I want to ask in advance, but how hard is The Praetorium? It seems like it'll be pretty difficult, but supposedly it's the first dungeon where eight people can work together? I'd love to find out how challenging it is. At this point the difficult stuff is starting to become more entertaining than draining... most of the time.

[up] So far the only challenging thing about it is having your cake and eating it too. Play the Game, Skip the Story strikes here with a revengance, I'd advise getting a premade group.

Cape Westwind and Castrum Miridium are actualy the first 8-man instanced. Cape Westwind is dead-easy with any group. Castrum and Praetorum were challenging when everyone was new, but in the patches since the power of level 50 gear has increased such that it has been trivial for a long time.

At the very least, since you said you wouldn't mind watching cutscenes in the inn room, if you have a friend who's a tank that will watch out for you, bring them, if only so they'll help see that you don't get seperated from the group. By this point all sorts of shortcuts are standard to the run - packs of guards that can be skipped, teleporters that people will go through without bothering to kill the stuff chasing them, etc. Having people wait for you isn't guaranteed.

I wonder if 3.1 will make people do these ones seriously, since lvl 50 stuff will give XP again. So if you want to up a class, that may become really interesting considering how many enemies there are.

Unless it is only for dungeons, in which case nevermind.

As much as we know, it only affects Lv50 dungeons thus far (Sorry CT fans).

You tell me... Some of my trope friends are over at Exodus.

Also kinda important question, but can anyone tell me the name of a specific pair of underwear? I think its level 50 gear, and is mostly white with large gold trimmings. I think you can obtain them from a quest! There's a video of a lalafell wearing them but I gotta find it.

That particular color and make is a legacy item from 1.0, meaning it's impossible to get if you weren't there for the dark ages.

There are a similar pair in the game that anyone can get, but I don't know if you can dye them or not.

I apologize for double-posting, I really am...

BUT I CLEARED THE STORY!

The Praetorium was easy as hell and we managed to clear it in half-hour. Now I need to know one thing.

What should I do now? Should I get better gear? Better weapons? What would be the easiest post-game dungeon to tackle now for said equipment?
