  • General Sisterhood crap
  • Enter Vainglorious
  • Tange and Lil'E somehow managed to enter a secret DevilCorp facility
  • Sisterhood tried reprogramming a bunch of militarised fembots. It didn't turn out so well
  • More pretentiousness
  • Some poorly thought out social commentary

I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiot

Oh wow miss Amber. The corporation who owns your corporate news source cares more about the corporate interests than the news.

Y'know, I also hear that this guy named Hitler was a bit of an asshole, and is not well liked by the Jewish community.

It's got two women arguing with each other. I'll take it.

To be honest, I don't find anything worth on the fembots. Hell, I don't even think that Steve was in the wrong.

The fembots gaining sentience is just some weird event caused by the sisterhood and the reality zone, not something inherent to the fembots themselves. Tats haven't given a valid reason to root for the fembots either (and isn't because he can't. Someone remembers the friendly zombie?), he just keep painting like we SHOULD root for them because.

So yeah, Steve was absolutely on his right to reclaim his property and didn't deserved what it happened. P Lus, that it contradicts the few info we had on the Lethe, again, just because.

You know, it just struck me.

Amber is a color.

Like Fuchsia.

Or Blue.

It's also a incredibly common actual name.

Seemed more like it unleashed something that was already there in some capacity.

only because the reality zone can now affect people simply by hearing it.

id say that has more to do with tats awful writing than there being anything more to fembots.

I am still too doubtful of the idea the bots had anything more than fancy VI programs considering Devilcorp is far too pragmatic and all about making profit. A restraining bolt after making them fully sentient just seems needless in terms of business and expensive.

Also Amber didn't expect her superiors (The literal devil for one) to shut down her broadcast when it went against corporate interests? Wow we have got a smart cookie there...

I wrote a bit about auto pilot mode before. Milton here states that the Reality Zone cut the command feed and put the robots on autopilot mode. It's apparently advanced AI, but still AI.

Today's comic: two women having a different opinion about something? I think this is a first!

So it isn't really sapient just very cleverly programmed. But apparently enough time alone made Maverick sapient... somehow even though she didn't try to learn about the world.

Alternatively, Milton may be underestimating just how well he programmed them. That is, he thinks its just clever programming, when it reality it's just like how Skynet's creators unintentionally made it so advanced that it quickly outgrew its programming within days/hours of first activation and turned completely self-aware, something that they never intended nor thought was possible with their design.

But apparently enough time alone made Maverick sapient... somehow even though she didn't try to learn about the world.
Or she already did it off-screen. Remember when she went to that online cafe to plug herself in for a quick charge?

Perhaps it's the same as how it is with Star Wars droids. They need to be memory wiped once in a while because their accumulated experiences start giving them personalities and behaviours that are messing with their programming.

Quote from SWC.

Remember back when Maverick was attacking innocent people just like that guy did last week? It’s strange. The magic devil girls didn’t turn her into a frog and erase her memory. In fact, they seem to keep helping her no matter how many people she threatens or runs over with a motorcycle. I wish I knew what she had that the guy didn’t, that would influence everyone’s decision.

I don't like Shittywebcomics but they have a point, Maverick has attempted to kill (with intent to kill), caused property damage, assaulted and beaten people, threatened those just trying to keep her from using store resources, pointed a live (but somehow not loaded) weapon at two bystanders who were simply working a 9 to 5, their history with her not actively justifying the need to point a shotgun at them.

And Steve the Frog Guy only attacked them. So if his punishment was going to be death before being made a amnesiac and turned into a frog. What the hell does Maverick deserve as punishment?

[up]Her punishment would pretty much amount to this.

Fuschia: If you don't knock it off, we're not goin' to Mc Donald's after the Dworkins seminar.

Maverick: Aw!

Crim: Don't worry. We're goin'.

(Fuschia glares at him, then Crim turns back to the kids)

Crim: B-B-But you don't get the Supersize.

Maverick: OH!

Crim: Okay, you can Supersize. But no apple pie!

Maverick: Oh, come on!

Crim: Okay, you get an apple pie, but you can't blow on it.

Oddly enough I couldn't find the actual clip I wanted to use.

Sod it. I'm gonna go play Postal 2.

[up]Way to go Sisterhood, because of their shortsighted nonsense all the women in the world now have to spend all day computing Pi for overlord Maverick, and the men are all dead or frogs.

It pains me to defend the strip, but presumably this is also foreshadowing for the inevitable mass fembot-uprising that's coming.
