I haven't done the apartment method, I just lived at home. But I know people who have and it definitely is the second-cheapest way to go to college in the long run. Dormitories usually don't have kitchens, so you'll have to get your food from the cafeteria (with a somewhat unreasonably priced meal plan) or an outside restaurant. Both of which are always more expensive than cooking your own food. And there's usually a few vacant apartments fairly close to colleges, due to the high turnover.

Maybe for Junior year I'll get that.

Wish I had more A's,only in Creative Writing sadly. It's a tooth and nail fight just to not get F's everywhere else.

I've been trying to get an overall GPA of 3.7 this semester, so I can raise my overall GPA to above a 3.3 before I graduate to open up my options for grad school. Seems my profs disagree with my goal because I can't quite manage to get that A- or A on my assignments, and then I get that one midterm that drops my overall average to a B-, which I absolutely cannot afford. Life is funny that way.

I'm at the point where I just want to graduate, get my useless BA, and then mourn my life and my inability to get a decent job or get into grad school. Yep.

Just found out I got a GPA of 5.5 for this semester.grin

Too bad I fucked up the past two semesters, though. Hell, I even fucked up this one just nowhere near as much.

[up] What's the maximum GPA in Australia? It only goes up to 4.0 here.

I got to correct one of my Property Law lecturers today. Or at least suggest that the way he read a complicated Supreme Court ruling could have been erroneous. He said he'd look into it and maybe put up a correction.

Smart students don't do that. They just wink and nod at the other smart students who also caught the slip.

I think I can get everything done this semester. If I get rid of the minor inconvenience known as sleep.

With that said, TV Tropes, I bid you adieu until the end of my semester on December 14th. Assuming of course that I am not dead by then.

Pf. I'm just coasting along. Impending graduation next semester means I don't care as much as I should.

It's always hard to re-adjust after a break.

I've got a 4 page bullshi - er, that is, Art History paper due tomorrow. Yeah. Art History.

And some of us don't like it.

I am an archaeology major, and spending pages upon pages of talking about how the pastel colors of paint used in this particular piece are particularly evoking of calm emotions, and how the thickness of the lines depends on what the artist wanted to portray as most important, is not what I want to be wasting my evening doing.

And I'm doing an Art History course (it's Roman Art and Archaeology - though mainly dissecting every single aspect of the art and not touching at all on the archaeology) because it's one of a few that I could choose from to satisfy a requirement for my major.

It's offered under both the Art History and Classical Studies designator, and I signed up for the CS. It's not at all what I thought it would be; I don't think I would have taken it if I'd known.

On the topic of mandatory classes I detest, I've got to say the social sciences, along with the physical education class requirements are nuts for an accountant. I could understand social sciences being needed on a few examples, but there is just no excuse to the physical education credit! I'm already pushing myself on sprinting a whole mile with no stopping... is that not enough? -insert angry rant about physical education here- Anyways, I've got to handle a couple classes of homework right at this second, so I must refrain from TV Tropes for now.

I had tennis classes for amusement a few times, but I never needed to take physical education in college.
