Yes but at some time she'll want to explanations to stop. It isn't funny if there's too much Technobabble (and in this context the amount you presented about gravity can count as "too much" even if you're right) unless it's an Expospeak Gag.

Solution: get Nagato to explain it first. Either Kyon's mother will understand more than anyone could have predicted, or she'll be bewildered... and then anyone else that's around could chime in with the rest of the explanations.

If his mom ever found out about everything, it would probably be from Kyon telling her directly. She wouldn't believe him, until events transpired that made it obvious he was telling the truth, at which point there would be much jawing at the air without words coming out.

About the nightly training, does the time in "training space" (to give it a name) run at a different speed or after training they have to go back in time?

That Mikuru is required suggests the second but given that it's a separate dimension of sorts, the first makes as much sense. Maybe Mikuru's required to synchronise time or something?

The point is, if there's the latter case, there's the chance for any trainee!Kyon to get into normal space and rescue whoever needs help. There should be dozens of them by now.

It's a combination of Mikuru using time travel and Yuki manipulating data to de-age them a year after their training.

They technically had the ability to do this in canon. I know that Yuki can mess with the relative flow of time at least to put things in stasis. They just wouldn't have had a handy pocket dimension to train in, and would have had to use Yuki's apartment or something.

I wonder when Yuki's birthday is...

If she decided that it ought to snow, would it matter? Haruhi is sealed.

Yeah. If I could give an exact date, I would. All I've got is speculation that it coincided with whatever it was Haruhi did, and there's not a whole lot of basis for that. It just seems likely that the IDSE would act quickly.

Hmm... well, that likely puts Yuki's birthday as shortly before Tanabata, since she was in the apartment by that point.

Which would put it within a few weeks of Kyon's, since Watanagashi is apparently the third Sunday in June.

His family celebrates at a different time, but I could see the SOS brigade having a party for the both of them. D'awwwwww.

Yuki could consider her own birthday a different date of when she was created: either the creation of the brigade, tanabata or december 21st.

Or maybe the day she realized her own... attraction to Kyon.

Or the day Kyon made his first overt threat towards the IDSE to protect Nagato, and thus asserting her individuality and the unacceptability of violating it.

All of these apart from Tanabata are Crowning Moment Of Heartwarming moments, aren't they?

Doesn't mean they're not Awesome moments as well.

A random observation from my re-read — back in chapter 22, when Kyon's having his One Dialogue, Two Conversations chat with his dad about Tsuruya, I only just figured out what Yuuto was thinking when Kyon thought he was confessing to being "happy in organized crime". I couldn't quite figure out what conclusion bringing up Keiichi and Mion would lead Kyon's dad to, until it hit me:

Yuuto believes that Kyon is _intentionally_ building a harem.

I've gone and lost that conversation. Oops.
