Time for a different weapon from Impa, and one that's certainly not lesser.

I apologize if I offend fans of the other series (whose name escapes me), but is there any tactic to it other than mash buttons and watch large groups of enemies get massacred with no way of fighting back?

Last time I saw slaughter like this, I was playing a triple Ice Tank back in City of Heroes.

If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.

depends on the difficulty

on the easier ones yeah is just a fun button masher

on harder ones tactics need to be utilized

more importantly, the trailers have most likely dumbed down the enemy ai significantly specifically for the purpose of showing off the characters without interruption.

The bosses still make musical notes when they get hit.

YESSSSSSSSSS

I wanna see Manhandla in action.

Though perhaps it should be a surprise. I feel like they're showing too many bosses, unless there's a lot more than the five we've seen.

Remember, these trailers are intended to show off the movesets, not the combat engine.

At least in my experience, when there isn't an enemy ace/officer around, the Dynasty Warriors games have you maneuvering around masses of enemies, trying to manage your odds of getting smacked and avoid getting pinned in a corner.

@ekimmak On the easier difficulties yes you can get away with only button mashing. On the hardest difficulty however that isn't going to work. I'll relink this video (since the guy is also styling while he's fighting) showing Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires at it's highest difficulty.

So now the only video left to show off is Lana's Deku Stick demonstration. Then I suspect that we won't get any new information until Japan gets the game later this month. Assuming the Direct doesn't show anything new off as well.

I dunno- Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess are both still due another character each, assuming the outside eras get equal numbers of characters.

Ocarina has Sheik, Darunia, and Ruto. Twilight Princess has Midna, Agitha, and Zant. Skyward Sword has Fi and Ghirahim. Only the last needs another character, though I doubt they'll go for a perfect balance.

Hm, I suppose the Direct can't focus just on Groose, even though he deserves it.

I sorta wonder if Zant and Ghirahim will "count" for the final character roster's division- Obviously, they're playable, but I'd be somewhat surprised if we didn't end with three heroes per era- Link, Zelda and Impa for the Original Generation, Ruto, Darunia and Sheik for OoT, etc.

The OOT villain will be Barinade. Yes, as a commander, not a giant boss.

Ashei would be a great choice for the third TP hero, and Groose is obvious for SS... But thinking on it, who else would work for SS? I'd say Impa, but we already got an Impa.

... Beedle?

Fair enough.

Colin seems pretty ancillary, but then again, Agitha got in because some bright spark came up with the idea of making her a Stand user.
