So now we introduce the mortals, the ones you'll be seeing before the giant info dump at the end of it all. (I have an affinity towards those for some reason...see Eiderdown...or not. Whoops.) First is the Scribes of Paradise, stationed in Japan; their leader's name is Rei (I had a checklist for their full names somewhere, but I'm on vacation now and cannot access it easily, so sorry if this all seems vague/confusing), and she wants the Egon Script in order to make Earth powerful and protect it against what she feels are alien threats. Unfortunately, the aliens (or space-faring humans) don't pose much of a threat anyway, and she'll do anything she can to get it, including train some kids from childhood in order to become obedient killing machines. Two of these kids, Pagin Silver, a child she abducted from India, explaining his unusually dark skin, and Tadeshi will be focused on; while Tadeshi was a success in Rei's eyes, Pagin was and has always been a failure, and she usually sends him out to do most of the grunt work. In fact, Pagin was sent to Europe in order to infiltrate the NOotI's HQ in Germany and steal the Egon Script from them.
The New Order of the Illuminati is a group headed by the Konstantins, and they want the Egon Script in order to maintain world peace and create, surprise, surprise, a New World Order. They were the ones who helped fund the archaeological expedition into Viti Levu, and several German and Amercian archaeologists were sent there. However, in order to secure the Egon Script for themselves, they ended up using their informant there, the eccentric and easily-angered Fritz (clever name there), to steal the Script, setting off the chain of events to come. They also had access to some top-secret security measure software from the NSA, which was also stolen by Pagin, and that is something he still has with him.
Traggerd's Raiders are an alien group, and they are the ones currently in possession of the Egon Script. They're lead, of course, by a Mr. Traggerd, and he wants it so that he could be recognized for something he accomplished, after a lifetime of failure and loss behind him. Alowe, the one who stole it from Pagin back in Quimper, is doing it in hopes that the Benevodens can save her dying mother and father from a terrible illness. Another alien, whose name I have forgotten, just wants it for the moneys.
Next, the Neo Paleons, and thankfully, they have memorable names! (Shows me for making s**t up!) in my pants.
