Because Kinkajou told me to.
So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

So you know that upcoming Gust Magical Girl JRPG "Blue Reflection"?
...well that came out of nowhere.
Pity we have to wait a bit yet for Ultimecia. Since she like the Emperor is likely a Shoot type, odds are she's at least two more characters away.
Woah, Danbooru! Steady on! *opens Incognito mode*
Life is more fun with infinite MP.Daddy Of Light is coming to non-Japan Netflix this Fall.
glad I'm off for when the Americas catch up with April fools day.

Oooh, we talking about Tactics? Because I rolled Orlandu in Brave Exvius on my once-a-day half price summon and he looks great.
I should probably check Tactics out at some point.
I'm actually kind of annoyed that's just an April Fool's joke.
This song needs more love. The best jokes are plausible.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.Like the fighting game and dating sim from the last years.
Tactics is pretty atypical for a Final Fantasy.
If XII's tone wasn't your speed you probably won't like it.
Great game, though.
This, specifically, is based on Tactice Ogre, though, which is made by the same guy and has the same character and art designer as XIV and XII, which makes this even better.

thanks Hash. I think I might grab the War of the Lions PSP remake.
Haaaaaaaah, that's not Tactics. It's the opening of TacticsOgre.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerPSP Let Us Cling Together is the remake War of the Lions should of been, improving everything from the art to the music to the gameplay balance (sort of), and adding a ton of new features and improvements rather than shoehorning in cameos and shilling popular characters.
Not to shit too make on Wo TL, but it's pretty piss poor for a remake besides the new translation.
LUCT needed a bigger roster. .I never have enough room for everyone. And the developers needed to drink less when deciding how to recruit Ozma and Ravness. Also forcing me to kill mah dargons for Deneb was cruel. ;___;
(It is still the greatest thing since sliced bread, although screw that selfish shrewhead Catiua.)
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerSicne I wanna support the series tho, War of the Lions is probably my best bet outside of...well, you know.
Hold on I'll
wait
Phil La Marr voiced Ramza?!
Phil La Marr voices everybody... Even me

Yep.
As a fun fact, there is no voice work in the Japanese version, so Phil Lamarr is Ramza's first voice ever.
Wow. Way to hit the ground running, Ramza!
Square Enix still remembers Tactics Ogre exists!
I feel like playing it again now.
Also I've been wondering...would Warrior of Light count as a weird case of Sir Not Appearing In This Game? I mean I get that he's Amano's interpretation of the Knight class but WOL and the Knight class in game look nothing alike.
Most of the primitive sprite work don't look like the actual character designs. Only FFII and IV escaped this really.
Slowly, slowly making my way through the Elite dungeons. I'm up to 164 stamina now, and this is getting tedious. I broke Cloud's third level cap on the basis he's got more limit breaks, and will use either Zell, Seifer, or Rinoa next. Vanille is my main healer now, and I'm heading towards leveling up Serah and Lightning too. (I dunno why these characters are growing on me, I haven't played the game they were in.)
And, as ever, motes remain a pain the ass to gather, and the dungeons that give those away now look hella tough. And grinding the daily dungeons for gyshall greens is tedious. I suppose I should focus on Tyro, but I've got a bunch of other characters that are just one level away from completion. (I may have ignored Tyro for quite some time.)
