Because Kinkajou told me to.
So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

Remind me, has the new Dissidia been revealed for anything other than Japanese arcades yet?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.It will be on PS 4 eventually.

Technically it's not officially confirmed, but it's being developed using the PS 4, and they "want people to enjoy the arcade version first". Basically, if the arcade version is well received, then the rest of us can get it in a year or so.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyHopefully the equipment system, world map, level up system, etc come back for the ps4 version. Those were really the best parts of the game.
x5 I still doesn't count them as one because you might as well count the warrior of light, Ysayle, and pretty much anyone else with Echo as a god. The only reason they survive so much is that they know more about the echo than the Hydaelyn blessed people do.
The one person you could possibly count as a god in such a situation is Midgardsomr since him and his seven children > Ascians and his children aren't gods and don't have the echo.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.@FFRK: Some datamining revealed that a "Lucky Banner" should be released on Black Friday - five days from now. Like the last LB, it will be a single 11-pull for half-price (so 25 mithril) and all the 5* equipment you might get from it (it's not guaranteed, since every pull has 12% chance to be 5*, which makes for roughly 75% chances to get at least one 5* and 25% chances to get none) will have a Unique Soul Break. It only works once, so you might try to get 25 mithril for next Friday. Even if you are unlucky, it's still 11 3 and 4* items for 25 mithril only. You will get some useful realm synergy in that lot.
Tip: There was a dungeon update last night with 7 new dungeons (so 14 mithril, 7 on classic and 7 on elite), Zidane's event will as usual sport 10 mithril, and you will get 6 mithril from daily logging. So 7+10+6=23 easy mithril, if you already have 2 you're good (so unless you wasted everything to get Squall's Cutting Trigger you should be fine - the banner should last for a couple of days I suppose).

After a long hiatus from 12, and even then, I just mucked around for a bit, I've managed to get past Draklor Laboratory.
And I forgot how beautiful the voice acting in 12 is.
"A TEST FOR ASHELIA B'NARGIN DALMASCA!"
The Marquis' accent though... I can't quite place it. Not that it's bad or anything, in fact its great.
But really, really love the voice acting. I'd say best in the main series, but I've never played 13 or 11.
Yay, Balfonheim! -aga spells! Running minigame! Weapons and stuff! Fishing Rod! EXORBITANT PRICES, YAY!
Or maybe I just need to go kill a few Marks. Eh.
Wow, I can handle the Feywood with a party of Basch, Ashe and Penelo at level 34-36. Is there something wrong with me that I can handle level 40 enemies easily with that party? This was before my little infiltration of the labs.
Got up to Upstream in fishing minigame. I suppose a really dedicated person could farm fish and get tons of Gil. But it's too much effort for me.
Onwards, to hunting!
Speaking of going back to games, for some strange reason I'm level grinding in XIII to do post-game stuff.
Who was the genius that decided the apparently-best CP-grinding area in the game can only be accessed before fighting the last boss? Kind of a dick move to force people into fighting that Behemoth and... giant wolf? thing over and over.
Also, fuck Death's hit rate.
The Marquis' accent reminds me a bit of a Punjabi accent, but not quite.
Not Three Laws compliant.I thought his accent sounds Arabic or Indian. Is it me, or does every faction/place have a different accent?
Imperial is obviously British, Bhujerba has that accent like the Marquis, Dalmascans have...whatever the heck Vaan's accent is supposed to be. The Viera have what I think is Finnish or Scandinavian if I recall correctly.
Dalmascans has what could be called theatrical-neutral-American accents. The people of Archades are not simply British but very particularly Posh accented, and the Viera... Yeah, I think it's something like a theatrical-Icelandic dialect.
I sure said that!On the TV Tropes page Ondore's accent is described as a mix of Welsh and Hindi.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.Yes. That's part of why the localization is so excellent, they give every place a different flavor and it adds believability to the world.
I've gone through Archades, just exploring, when it suddenly dawned on me.
I don't particularly dislike the Imperials anymore. The ones in Archades and some in Rabanastre are downright decent, polite people. Barring the children who keep calling me peasant even when I do have Sandalwood. Seriously, wish Vaan could dropkick the idiots.
"Ooh, argent? I'm gentry, peasant." Ugh.
But all else aside, I LIKE the Imperials. I don't condone what they do in war, but outside that, they're nice people concerned with their own businesses. And heck, they have the chop system to encourage doing helpful things.
Seriously, XII has such a beautiful world and people in it...
I think Ondore is supposed to have an Indian accent? Since India (Bhujerba) was occupied by Britain (Archadea) for a couple of centuries or something.
Heart of StoneIf Archadia is the UK, what is Rozarria? Disregarding the accents.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.France or Spain, I'd guess. Both countries squabbled with Britain a lot in the past.
Heart of StoneGiven Al-Cid, I'd say they're definitely Spain.
I wonder if Al-Cid is inbred
I'm really embarrassed now.
I was selling my fish at the shop, instead of the lady wandering on the shore.
Erratum @ FFRK: there will be an half-price Lucky Pull on Friday, AND 25 mithril gifted to the players who log in this day - so basically a free 11 pull.
Got my very first Ultimania yesterday
Cool! Do you read Japanese, or are you mostly in it for the artwork?
They're also relatively immortal spirits who reside in a higher plane of existence most of the time.
Granted, they are worshipping a higher god...
I have a message from another time...
