Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector

Well, that was, to be frank, FUCKING EPIC.

And this commercial aired at the very end:

Looks interesting. And the ending had quite the final fight.

so for people who have played OG 2, how did the anime version compare?

Also, while I still prefer Maxon, Ryuseil Lovers isn't that bad. the long version might be pretty slick.

They're just different. There are some things that were in the game that I wish had made it in to the anime (such as Schine in a barely operable Fairlion staring down 2 Machinery Children, Ouka and a horde of R-Eins to protect the completely disabled Latooni, Arado and Seolla), and some stuff in the anime which would have been awesome in the game (the final battle, for example. While the fight against Stern Neue was cool, this was a WAAAAY better concept, with Beowulf.)

So yeah, I think both are great. This isn't a case like with Divine Wars where the game was clearly superior.

Kind of a pity that they didn't follow up on all the plot threads they decided to introduce, though.

Like that military coup on Earth.

I'm a bit saddened that they downplayed Alfimi's role in this mess. I would have loved to see a scene where Excellen cries as she watches the Personlickheit fade away, ah well.

On a totally different note, it's funny to hear Yuko Mizutani hold conversations with herself.

The trailer..... at the end it says The Inspector. So I think it's an action-game style rehash of OG 2

No, the bit at the very end is about the DVD/BD release for The Inspector.

Figured as much, but why would they show lush Another Century's Episode style 3D then?

Been a while since I watched the stuff, including the OVA.

Was there some scenes where Ryusei hanged out with Mai after she was debrainwashed from the Aerogators?

Not that I can recall because Mai doesn't really feature until the second half, and it's not an SRX focused series.

All right. I remember that Mai didn't show up until the end of Divine Wars.

I may need to check the OVA version again soon.
