As I said on the ATT, the relevant entity in this particular case is the historical Funimation, not the modern Crunchyroll.

Yeah, Twentieth Century Fox was renamed, so so was it's page here. Merging the pages for Crunchyroll and Funimation would be like merging the 20th Century page into Disney's.

This thread was born out of an Ask The Tropers discussion about moving Creator.Funimation (the historical entity) to Creator.Crunchyroll (the modern entity), which can be found here.
Certain creator pages such as Creator.Twentieth Century Fox was moved to Creator.Twentieth Century Studios after Creator.Disney acquired Fox in 2019 and subsequently renamed the company less than a year later. However, on the linked ATT thread, Mr Mallard raised a concern about why corporate mergers means we have to merge their wiki pages when Funimation and Crunchyroll have long histories in the localization space.
Given the above comments, I have a question: what should we do with creator pages in case of a company merger or buy out?
