A thread for sharing news and discussing anything interesting that's just been announced or published. This may include:

  • New games and systems, including new editions.
  • New settings and sourcebooks
  • New adventures and campaigns
  • New virtual tabletops

All systems are on-topic here, including those with their own specific threads (D&D, Warhammer etc).

Two general guidelines:

  1. In line with the wider forum rules, don't post purely to complain. You might absolutely hate a game, but don't post just to trash it. Constructive criticism is fine, especially if you're calling out problems in a previous edition and hoping the new one solves them.
  2. No unmarked spoilers — some new releases will be campaigns, settings or adventures with GM-only secrets, or will be sequels or remakes of older stuff with GM-only material. If you want to talk about those elements here, put them behind spoiler tagging.

To start things off, Free League Publishing (Fria Ligan) have announced two new books for their recent Twilight: 2000 reboot.

Twilight: 2000 is (now) an alternative history game, "the world war that never was", with player characters stranded in Europe as the world slides into something a little bit post-apocalyptic.

  • The Black Madonna is a campaign supplement based on a first edition adventure. Set in Silesia (Poland), it's got new factions and a plot tied to the titular painting.
  • Hostile Waters is a sourcebook for waterways, pirates and marine environments. Apparently based on the Pirates of the Vistula book for the original game, but no longer specific to a particular region.

Still haven't played the rebooted version — I've meant to, but the aftermath of a major modern war recently felt a little bit too topical for a setting — but it's been very positively reviewed. Might pick these up and see if it inspires a campaign.
