Killmonday Games (Fran Bow, Little Misfortune, Benjamin Game)

Fran Bow and Little Misfortune are both very dear to my heart. I wanted to make a thread to talk about them with others preferably, so I decided to make this about their production company (might make Creator.Killmonday Games a page someday) because they're working on a 3rd game! It's not a recent announcement, but I'm looking forward to it! I'm led to believe they all occur in the same universe anyway.

I'm not sure if this is when it was first announced, or if Benjamin Game is a Working Title or not. I've just been on a kick recently and have some thoughts I want to periodically share.

Cool! I Killmonday thread. I've been interested in their games when I was kid (being resparked due to Vtubers). But here is some context for the games.

• Fran Bow is their first game and the most popular one. It follows the titular Fran as she ventures the world with her cat, Mr. Midnight, all while avoiding demons that want to kill her and taking pills that let her see a more gorey world.
• Little Misfortune feature the titular Misfortune as she, along with the narrator find an "eternal happiness" for her mother.

Ah, sorry, I wasn't aware that I should provide synopses for the games, this is the first time I've made a thread here 😅 thank you for giving them instead.

Personally I was introduced to the games from Let's Players like Jacksepticeye and some others. (Dang, the Fran Bow one was 8 years ago? Wow.)

I guess my resparked interest comes from me recently getting the idea to make Trope Pantheons profiles for them. ^note Fran Bow for Phlebotinum Pills and Misfortune for Everything's Better with Sparkles. Still works in progress.

There's something about them that's stuck with me even now. I'm looping one song from the Little Misfortune soundtrack that's particularly relaxing to me ("Let's Play").

I was pretty intrigued by some walkthroughs I saw on Youtube. Very abstract titles. I saw all of Little Misfortune and plan to play it someday.

Fran Bow was hella confusing.
