- Name: Anne Mac Kenzie, Narya/Snowbird
- Age Range: 25
- Species: Human/divine hybrid
- Character Role: A superhero/police officer
- Canon: https://www.writeups.org/snowbird-alpha-flight-marvel-comics-harfang/
- Personality: Though she’s been around people for several years now and has learned a great deal from her colleagues, Anne still stumbles a little in social situations, and will usually wait to get the feel for a group before speaking up. However, she has no lack of confidence and will not back down from a challenge. Snowbird is much more comfortable in a fight or super-human situation and actually prefers a little weirdness since she’s seen a lot. She especially enjoys flying and exploring new areas or meeting new people. In battle, she will attempt to end the battle as quickly as possible, simply out of a sense of practicality (spending a large amount of your time as a carnivore will do that to you).
- History: Narya was born to be a weapon. In the beginning, the Inua (The Gods of the North) and the Great Beasts were locked in eternal battle. Their conflict seemed to be in stasis until Hodiak, the greatest of the Inuit gods, performed a spell to lock the beasts to their own plane. However, before it was finished the Great Beast Tundra managed to cast a mirror of that ritual, causing the Inua to themselves be locked away. However, the Beasts did not figure on the ingeniousness of Nelvanna, a former Canadian superhero who had been granted a place in the Inuit pantheon as a reward for her long years of struggle against evil. Nelvanna knew that she could renounce her divinity and be instantly returned to Earth. So she and Hodiak prepared for the second part of their plan by hiding a powerful item called the Circlet of Torngarsuk on Earth.
Centuries later a young archeologist named Richard Easton found the circlet while on a dig. Under the influence of the gods he put it on one night in his laboratory and Nelvanna appeared before him in a pleasing human shape. She brought the frightened man to the realm of the gods and they made love. While only a night passed on the plane of the Inua, a shattered and insane Richard was brought back to Earth a decade later and quickly vanished from history. A few months later, noted doctor and shaman Michael Twoyoungmen was contacted from the spirit realm and directed to a certain location, where he successfully created a small portal to enable Nelvanna to give birth and give him her half-divine offspring to raise. By the time the ceremony was over, the child, who had been named Narya, was about a year old.
Eventually, his neighbor noticed that the girl, who did not resemble Michael at all, was acting quite strangely and growing at an accelerated pace. When the woman, who was named Heather Hudson, saw the girl transform into an owl, she immediately went to him for answers. Since they were close friends, he reluctantly admitted the truth, as well as his own gifts as a shaman. Her husband, James Hudson, was coincidentally in charge of Department H, Canada’s superhuman recruitment and training organization, and he offered both of them a position with the Department.
Twoyoungmen agreed, with the proviso that Narya continues her education and be kept out of battle until she was properly trained. She was also given the cover identity and position of Anne Mac Kenzie, a police file clerk in a remote station. As her time with Alpha Flight passed and her confidence in her abilities grew, she also became aware that a co-worker, Sgt. Douglas Thompson had feelings for her that she didn’t understand. When she was forced to break out of prison to help her team and thus abandon her human identity, he was the only one she returned to inform. Before she left again to face one of the Great Beasts who had returned to Earth, she told him that she returned his feelings.
However, Department H’s team, which was called Alpha Flight, fell on hard times. Wolverine’s choice to remain in the States with the X-Men, the disppearance of their leader Guardian, a sneak attack by a villainous team called Omega Flight, as well as a change in government, caused a contraction of resources for the Flight. Snowbird herself decided to semi-retire from the field since she had repelled or “killed” several of the Great Beasts and wanted to focus more on her relationship with Douglas, who had accepted her dual nature. The RMCP came calling a few years later, offering her a position as a special constable in charge of “extraordinary situations and persons”. In essence, she would become an investigator of the weirdness for the Canadian Government.
- Talents:
Animal shapes: Narya’s main ability is shapeshifting: she can assume the form of any animal native to Canada, regardless of size. Injuries, unless they are life-threatening, are healed in these forms when she changes back to her human body. She can also change from her human identity of Anne Mac Kenzie to that of Narya, but rarely does so simply because humans tend to be frightened of her true half-divine form. The only limitation is that all of her animal forms will be pure white.
Superhuman strength: Narya has above-human strength enough to punch through a brick wall and is immune to temperatures, human diseases, and toxins. She’s also tough enough to fly at high speeds in either her human or animal forms.
Magical senses: She can sense disturbances in the magical plane, as well as being able to “see” magical energy (though she can’t actually cast it herself).
Minor healing ability: She ages more slowly and will recover from damage twice as fast as a normal human.
Resist Teleportation: Snowbird can’t be teleported against her will, and she can choose where she’ll appear if she is transported.
Skills: She’s fluent in French, English, and several Inuit languages. She’s also received RCMP Special Constable and Department H training (firearms, self-defense, detective, and security skills) from both Puck and (for a short time) Wolverine. Narya also has a deep understanding of the magical patterns of Canada and to a lesser extent North America, and can find out information about events on the occult side of the street with some effort (most magical folks want to stay on the good side of Hodiak).
- Assets: A Bowie knife, a switchblade, a multi-tool and a British Bull Dog revolver. In her human form, she wears a bulletproof vest, though mainly for show.
- Influences: A minor thing for canon-based characters, feel free to add this in if you want to add any major versions as influences.
- Other Details: Anything you feel that’s important that isn’t listed here.

- Name: Terry Bramford
- Age Range: Adolescent
- Species: Human
- Character Role: Superhero
- Canon: No
- Personality: Terry Bramford is a young man who, if you asked him, would tell you that he is a purely normal guy living the most All American Face life possible. He's a hotshot American Football player, he's got a pretty girlfriend, he's popular, he's a kind, Lovable Jock...but there's a lot that he doesn't so readily share. Terry is adopted - twice, in fact. His first set of adoptive parents were a pair of religious maniacs who treated the young boy less than kindly. As far as they were concerned, Terry was just a prospective Christian, and no matter what happened they wanted their evangelism to continue. The important thing to them wasn't Terry being a good kid, or even being a happy kid - they wanted a Christian kid. Something...happened, and Terry ended up in the care of his much more moderate and caring new set of parents. Terry has a tendency to try and be as supportive and progressive as possible, supporting people no matter what. He tends to believe the best of people who he's got friendships with, and believe the worse in people who've made negative impressions. Terry is afraid of the dark and of "left open spaces". He insists for example on closing any doors inside his house at night.
- History: Terry Bramford for what he wants people to know lived a purely normal, All American life with nothing going on or going wrong...at least until one day on his way to an Out Game with a rival school. The Wrecking Crew held up the entire driving tunnel they were going through, and began taking valuables from cars and other vehicles. When they got to the bus and started taking something precious from Terry's girlfriend Lisa Statton, Terry rushed in - and got thrown into a wall for his troubles...and promptly got up out of the wall, none the worse for ware. What ensued was a chaotic and confused first fight that saw Terry aglow with a strange golden force. What he was left to foster to try and avoid had found him.
- Talents: Terry has started to acquire the powers and abilities of "The Sentry Force" - due to the circumstances of his birth. However it's been complicated somewhat and they have not fully transferred over, leaving Terry with a partial grasp of Robert Reynolds' powers. Terry at present is utterly inexperienced with the use of his new powers.
- Assets: Terry is a suburban kid, and comfortably middle class. His girlfriend Lisa is a young "student reporter" type who maintains a news website.
- Other Details: Terry has had horrific nightmares most of his life of a "dark man" stalking him, in the guise of a tall, black habit clad preacher.

The age of heroes in Earth 202220 was originally formed in 1941 during the war against the Nazis and Hydra, this was the age of the Pulp Hero, with the rise of the Invaders such as Namor, the Human Torch, and Captain America. With Hydra as the Nazis’ science division they pushed the boundaries on human limitations, with Arnim Zola and the Red Skull at the head of research.
The allied forces of the world worked hard to make their own superman to fight back against the growing powers of the Axis under the Hydra leadership. With the Invaders and so much more, eventually Hydra got desperate and began searching for new methods and weapons, eventually settling on threatening the world with biochemical weapons, the Invaders took point, and Captain America tragically vanished stopping them.
The years passed, with the threat of Hydra defeated, much of the old tales of the superheroes of the second world war vanished, all for one reason or another. The deeds of the Invaders and their fellows vanished into tall tales and old comic books telling the deeds of the heroic Captain America, Bucky, and the Invaders as they stood against the forces of Hydra and saved the world.
By the time of the modern day, heroism like that had been all but forgotten, many of Hydra’s creations fell into obscurity, nobody expected them to ever return. From Hydra’s return, many other elements started to become clear, gods of old appeared, magicians who had kept themselves hidden found themselves emboldened, and many new organizations felt comfortable raising hell.
Mutants, a once burgeoning underclass have begun to display powers, a rarity among them, raising concerns from governmental positions who now seek to quietly “remove” said problems. Programs and Sentinel searches have begun, putting many mutants who were once people who needed accommodation and assistance, into hiding.
The modern day needs people willing to stand up for what’s right, for heroes to rise, for someone to Avenge it.
Hello everyone, this is a RP run by Booky and I. We had been discussing Marvel comics and concluded we wanted to run an Marvel based RP. So, we worked out some details and eventually got this put together. I've already got the first major arc planned out, it's simple enough but it should work.
How this RP will work will be a collaborative effort, you the players get to decide the story much like actual comic book writers arguing over interpretations of the characters. Arcs, Minor Bits, even just dialogue between characters interacting will be decided by all of you.
Everyone gets two characters, one OG Hero (Iron Man, Cap, Hulk, etc), and one OC Hero. This is to prevent people from getting too greedy and leave room for players to pick out characters they feel would fit their writing style best.
You may have noticed I said "hero", and this is correct, all of the villains in the RP will be owned by every single player. How this works is sort of a first come first serve detail on laying down the groundwork. For example, if I was to show off Ultron and said he'd speak with a stutter to represent his electronic voice, or that his hatred of Hank Pym was because of envy, that would be a character trait expected to be somewhat consistent in later depictions by other players, but you're still free to add on other traits as needed. The idea behind letting the Villains be open was to help ensure the flow of the RP, letting players continue without needing to wait for me or any other Runners behind the RP to post.
Just please communicate with each other and if you're running an arc, inform players of some plans for what you want to help ensure everyone is on the same page. This will be a lot of work, but we hope to make it work out for the best and be fun.
We only have a few more minor details to cover, and then we can move onto characters.
It wasn’t until a fateful crash and being trapped in a cave by an organization just known as the Ten Rings that he got to see what his attitude had wrought, escaping only with the help of a man named Yinsen, Tony abandoned the Stark Industries weapons plan, it survived for a few years under Tony’s guidance, as he worked on his Iron Man suit, inspired by the first armor that freed him from the cave.
Sadly, Stark Industries went under and was bought out by Obidiah Stane, Tony took a gamble to start his own business with investors, in smart technologies meant to prevent harm, he announced publicly that he was Iron Man. With public interest renewed, Tony came to New York to build Stark Enterprises, and has found success investing in clean energy plans.
We hope you have fun!
