@Jules-Firenze: Ah, well 'minor gods' aren't really a thing in the setting. All the gods are basically on the same power level as each other; it's just how the universe operates. At most, some are less experienced than others. (There's demigods, but even they are technically on the same power scale too; they just don't have all the perks that full on gods do.)

Regardless, as long as you understand that mechanically the immortal followers don't really do anything, and are just for having fun with role playing, then it doesn't matter. Nathan Munsen is accepted.

@Faelisya: Hmm, the flavor is a bit odd, giving me James Bond vibes, but I suppose that's alright. However, there are two things I will have to ask you to change before Icon could be accepted.

First, while I'm alright with him being so ancient as to be among the first gods, the back story would need some modifying. As mentioned in Cato's own sheet, he existed as the only god for almost 110 years before there was another one, though I suppose perhaps you meant 'early days' in some metaphorical fashion. Even assuming that though, I would prefer if you changed the references to the first mortal world to instead just be one of the early mortal worlds. It was by design that there are aspects of both Cato's own origin and the first mortal world that no other god is capable of corroborating, and with Icon's sheet as you currently have it written, he would break that design.

Second, his color is definitely too similar to Arcellex's, and the two would be easily confused on the map. Either you'll have to change it, or add a second, contrasting color, so the two can be told apart.

@Faelisya: I find the back story a little hard to follow, but I think I got the gist of it. I feel it worth reiterating that, generally, messing with stuff the other players are doing should be talked with them and have their permission before you go through it. (Out of character; in character Icon doesn't need the other gods' permission.)

Anyway, Icon is accepted!

Sorry I'm kind of late to the party. I was interested in this RP from the moment I knew it existed, but I got kind of distracted with other things before I could actually try to participate in it. Now, though, my attention's turned back to it, so after talking to Firock about it briefly, I think I'm ready to submit my own god for this cosmic hullabaloo.

  • Name: Picoceles "The Prince of Time"
    • Domain (optional): Time
  • Appearance: Picoceles resembles a 5'8 man wearing a stylish purple tuxedo and a dark purple cape. However, his most prominent feature is that instead of a human head, his shoulders are topped with an oversized analog clock with a golden bejeweled crown atop it. He also wears sleek black rubber boots, though that's much less noticeable. Also, instead of normal human hands, he has pointed clock hands, meaning that whenever he has to delicately maneuver something, he has to either transform his hands to give them fingers or use magic to maneuver the object without touching it.
  • Personality: Befitting of his title of Prince of Time, Picoceles has the mannerisms of an aristocrat, constantly trying his best to emit an air of style, luxury and refinement. He believes that his job of managing the flow of time makes him one of the most prestigious gods out there, though in reality he's no more powerful or important than any other god. While he's not antagonistic towards any of the other gods and knows full well that they're all essential to keeping the universe running, he still acts pretty smug when interacting with most of them. However, he's very respectful of Cato, and genuinely admires him, acting kind and humble whenever he's around him. If Cato tells him to do something, he will listen. Other gods have joked that he has a crush on the old man, though he vigorously denies this.
  • History: Picoceles was not the first god to take up the mantle of "Prince of Time". Before him, there was another a god, a much wiser one who didn't lord his title over everyone. His name was Chronelius, and he was quite similar to Picoceles at first. However, one day, he realized that the immense power he wielded was causing him to become a cruel, arrogant jerk. And so, no longer wanting to wield the powers he did, he decided to retire from his duty as god of time. But he knew that in the absence of a god regulating the timestream, time would fall into chaos. And so, he crafted from the ether a new god of time, which he christened Picoceles. He told Picoceles of his duty as the new god of time, and granted him his powers. Then, after explaining his decision to the rest of the gods, he vanished. It's believed that he became a mortal, but the words he used to describe his resignation were vague enough that it's also possible he simply ceased to exist. Regardless, the result is that there's a new prince of time now...
  • Realm: Picoceles' home is a large Victorian mansion, with every luxury and fancy demonstration of riches within that you could imagine. Even the floor is solid gold! The mansion also contains an ever expanding library with books containing the history of every lifeform that has ever existed, with the history of currently living ones sketching themselves onto the page every second. Sometimes, Picoceles takes one of these books to his study, and sits down in a soft plush armchair for a nice read. However, the mansion isn't all his realm has to offer, as next to it is a huge clock tower that Picoceles is constantly attending to in order to make sure it's in perfect working order. On the occasions when he's asked why he's so obsessed with keeping the clock tower perfect, he's said that the result of even one gear being loose would be "catastrophic", though he's never elaborated on exactly what that means.
  • Ownership color: Byzantium (#702963)
  • Immortal followers (optional): Picoceles is tended to by a group of faceless butlers dressed in black, the faceless part being very literal. They have absolutely no facial features whatsoever, and are devoid of hair to boot. They're also incapable of speech, and have no personality beyond a total blind devotion to Picoceles.
  • Other (optional): As I discussed with Firock over Discord, Picoceles can obviously control time, but this ability can only be used on the mortal world and its inhabitants, and not other gods. Also, he can slow down time, speed it up and even stop it, but he can't rewind it, meaning that he's incapable of time travel and once something has already happened he has to live with the consequences. Also, I'm fully aware he's a bit of a dick but I'm planning on having him go through character development as the RP goes on. He'll mellow out a bit eventually, I promise.

@Sushi Kraken 6414: One thing I couldn't easily explain over discord since I was on my phone and it's difficult for me to type there; as how the setting works, it doesn't need gods to fill certain functions in order for things to be possible. Mortal beings still die without a deity of death around, and can still be born without a deity of fertility around. Likewise, time would still flow even if there weren't any deities of time.

It's also part of why there can and are gods with overlapping domains in the setting without that being an issue; there's almost certainly a whole number of other 'god of time' deities besides Picoceles, or Chronelius before him... Like for example, Cato himself; as mentioned in his example sheet, he considers time to be one of his domains.

(Of course, Picoceles could think in character that he's the only god of time and that time wouldn't function without him, but he'd be wrong.)

Anyway, however you want to approach that in the RP, your character is otherwise fine. I think your chosen color will probably be fine, but it might end up being a little hard to distinguish with a couple of the other gods. If that happens I'll just ask you to add a contrasting color as a secondary.

Picoceles is accepted!

Thank you! Sorry I was a bit confused, I thought I might have had something a bit off but decided to go with my gut. I'll work on smoothing out the finer details as we go along.

Due to a random event roll, a duo of NPC goddesses are joining the game, so here is their official sheet.

  • Names: Seffora Akantha and Sapphira Akantha.

    • Domains (optional): Seffora is a goddess of jesters, acrobats, jugglers, and other physical performers. Sapphira is a goddess of seduction, lovemaking, and childbirth.

  • Appearances: Seffora and Sapphira are sisters, sharing a nearly identical appearance of body; Human, tall, fit, fair skinned and light haired, and incredibly beautiful. (Though both are capable of easily shape shifting to look different and/or like other species on a whim.) Seffora is typically in slim clothes of bright, primary colors trailing ribbons and tassels, sometimes in fashions that would be outright impossible without magic. Sapphira is typically in slender, flowing dresses of more muted colors, which are often... Transparent, to at least some degree.

  • Personalities: Seffora used to be eternally cheery, prone to amusing herself with incredibly elaborate but ultimately harmless pranks. While some of that still comes out on occasion, it has been somewhat tempered by recent events and her new feelings of responsibility. Sapphira used to be eternally coy and sultry, splitting her time on one half with pairing mortals together or picking lucky mortals to have fun with herself, and on the other half, taking care of her many, many children. Nowadays however she is a bit more grumpy, especially towards her sister.

  • History: Seffora and Sapphira have recently arrived from some other universe, or are possibly copies of the original Seffora and Sapphira from there; either way, they cannot return to their home universe now. In their home universe, they were part of a larger pantheon of gods and goddesses which ran by strict rules. Of those rules, there are two which are notable and relevant. First, all the gods and goddesses there were not to encroach on the domain of another. Second, that all professions and acts of mortals would be considered dedicated to one particular god or goddess, based on which one had the most relevant domain.

One day there was a new profession created amongst the mortals, and it was not immediately clear whether it should be dedicated to Seffora or Sapphira. Both of them made claim to it, and a great debate was held among the entire pantheon to settle the matter. Ultimately, it was decided that it would be dedicated to Sapphira, but Seffora was not content with that. She felt that the outcome was blatantly unfair, and secretly plotted to purposefully encroach on her sister's domain, to get back at her. Specifically, Seffora decided to have a child of her own.

Unfortunately for Seffora, with the mortals of their world likewise knowing about the gods' rules to not encroach on each other, or believing that Seffora was doing one of her elaborate pranks and thus not playing along, she was not being successful in her attempts. Just as she was thinking that she might have to abandon her plan, their world and an alternate world unknown to them abruptly and mysteriously started melding together in the midst of a magical calamity. This resulted in absolute chaos as confused nations and factions of both worlds tried to get an understanding of what was going on, and deal with the sudden catastrophes they were being plunged into. Seffora helped the other gods somewhat with their efforts to resolve the situation, but she also realized that this was a perfect opportunity for her own plan. A mortal from the other world caught her eye, and she abducted him, then convinced him to aid her.

So in time, Seffora had a child, causing an uproar amongst the pantheon as it was a flagrant encroachment upon her sister's domain. It especially upset Sapphira, feeling betrayed by her sister, and it has caused a bit of a rift between them since. Later, a powerful ritual was performed to resolve the magical calamity, requiring great effort on the part of every member of the pantheon, as well as mortal champions chosen by each of them. Seffora and Sapphira had to put aside their conflict to join their effort, as them being sister goddesses meant their powers were intrinsically linked together. It seems the ritual worked, but as an unexpected consequence, Seffora and Sapphira have arrived here, in this universe.

  • Realm: As they are still intrinsically tied to each other, Seffora and Sapphira have just one realm that they share, though it does have two distinct halves for the two sisters.

Seffora's half resembles a circus, with large tents adorned with brightly colored stripes, and colorful lines between them. Most of the tents have what you would expect of circus tents inside of them, stands for spectators and elaborate, sometimes impossible acrobatic courses. The two exceptions are one tent which has a crib and a large assortment of toys, which is where her child stays. The second is her personal tent directly next to her child's, resembling a kind of elaborate bedroom with her other outfits, and personal tools and weapons; notably, tucked away to one side, there is also a large chest of rounded, utilitarian design which seems entirely out of place with all of her other belongings, not matching the rest aesthetically at all.

Sapphira's half is one large, expansive building, an estate reminiscent of what we the audience would think of as European late medieval/early renaissance design. It features an abnormally high number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the latter all featuring at least one bath large enough to easily fully submerge oneself into, if not so large as to be practically an indoor pool. None of the bedrooms are distinctly specifically for Sapphira though, as she tends to spend each night in a different one. There is one stand out room which seems to be an armory full of short bladed weapons, and crossbows.

  • Ownership color: Bright green primary, dark magenta/pink secondary, #66ff00 and #c00160.

  • Immortal followers (optional): Seffora brought two notable followers, though technically neither are immortals by the definition of this universe. The first is her infant daughter, Diana, who is considered a demigod. (Of the four traits of a god, she possesses #1, #3, and #4, but lacks #2; it is assumed she will develop #2 after maturing.) She resembles an infant version of Seffora, but with brown hair. The second is Diana's father, Mark Daniels, who is considered an eternal. (Of the four traits of a god, he possesses only #1; in fact, technically he can still be killed, but he will always resurrect somewhere in the domain, and even gods can't prevent him from resurrecting.) He is a Human caucasian in his late twenties with an average height and a very fit build, with short brown hair that's the same color as Diana's.

Sapphira brought only one notable follower, who is likewise technically an eternal instead of an immortal. A seemingly elderly Gnoll woman (think anthropomorphic dog/hyena) known as Gray Minerva, who despite her age and short posture is clearly still fit and skilled.

  • Other (optional): The exact nature of the mortal profession that caused the initial dispute between the two goddesses has been intentionally left out of this signup.
