1.2 is better than the current, but I think the bottom text is unnecessary

Isn't the trope about overly complicated directions, though?

Specifically, it's overly complicated directions that are treated by whoever gives them as simple.

It's not about the Catchphrase "You can't miss it", but complicated directions that are presented as simple, which makes the suggestions in 3 not illustrative. 1.1 is good at showing complicated, or more like weird, directions. My vote goes to 1.2, as it sounds simple but is actually difficult to follow. I agree that the bottom text is not necessary.
